Green & Scott take wins at BRCA Circuit Nats Rd2
The Halifax circuit played host to round two of the BRCA Circuit Championship. In the nitro class Andy Hastings set the pace in qualifying with his Shepherd from David Spashett (ARC) and Michael Walton (Xray). The 30-minute final saw a battle with Andy and Michael for much of the race, Mark Green having qualified only 8th worked his way through the field and with ten minutes remaining took over the lead from Michael who had to retire after some contact. Andy recovered to take second position and Karl Dransfield (Capricorn) rounded out the top 3 with a solid drive.
In the Electric class it was close between Rob Scott and Mathew Baker for top spot, Rob took it running Capricorn from Mathew who was returning to the series running Serpent and lined up third Adrian Dew lined up third also running Capricorn. The finals were run over two legs, Mathew taking the first, Rob took second position even after crashing into a back marker. Third was Adrian Dew. Leg 2 saw Mathew have a terrible run and damaged his car putting him out contention for the top 3. Rob was able to easily win out front from Simon Parish this gave him the overall win for Capricorn from Adrian Dew and Simon Parish.
