Schumacher SOOM Series Rd4 – Report
This past weekend was the fourth round of the fantastic SOOM series, there was once again a great entry of drivers present. The race format was round by round qualifying, with the best 2 results from 4 rounds of qualifying counting towards the final position. The Southport team had designed a fantastic track layout for both days of our event. The mixed weather was present on Saturday but it was dry and sunny for most of Sunday. Finally as some travel restrictions have been lifted, it allowed both Michal Orlowski and Jorn Neumann to get across to the event. In 2wd qualifying it was Neil Cragg who would take TQ to line up on pole. Tommy Hall would be 2nd and Luke Holdsworth would line up 3rd.
The A Final 2wd result after all 3 legs was:

2. Tommy Hall – AE
3. Luke Holdsworth – Schumacher
4. Paul Crompton – AE
5. Ben Smith – Schumacher
6. Josh Holdsworth – Schumacher
7. Jamie Hall – AE
8. Michal Orlowski – Schumacher
9. Ben Jemison – AE
10.Chris Evison – PR
In 4wd qualifying, it was Paul Crompton who would take TQ in each round to line up on pole. It was Schumacher’s European talent of Michal Orlowski and Jorn Neumann who would line up 2nd and 3rd on the grid respectively.
The A Final 4wd result after all 3 legs was:

2. Jorn Neumann – Schumacher
3. Josh Holdsworth – Schumacher
4. Neil Cragg – AE
5. Tommy Hall – AE
6. Paul Crompton – AE

This was a great event with some superb racing, thank you to all of the racers that attended.
A huge thank you to the Southport team for all of their hard work and efforts, a special thanks has to go to Richie Stoddart for all of the jobs he did for us during the weekend! He was that good, we have even booked him for the next event!
The next round of this series is on Saturday and Sunday 25th/26th September at the superb Robin Hood Raceway venue. Both championships are still to be decided, we hope to see you there for the big finale to this awesome series.
