JConcepts Falcon | Dirt Bite 1:8 buggy tyres

JConcepts has added two new tyre patterns to its range of 1:8 Buggy tyres with the release of the Falcon and Dirt Bite.  After successful tyre designs such as the Reflex, Detox, and Kosmos, the JConcepts team went back to work developing a fresh design, the result being the new Falcon.  A triple row, double spaced concept is unique, and incorporates a new tapered and square shaped pin.  The tight nest of pins works together forming a rubber surface patch that handles the harder surfaces and resists wear due to their proximity.  The landing “Falcon” shape arrived after experimenting and prototyping with different techniques for side bite stability.  For the pins to work together in the center, connecting bars were added to resist pin flex and ultimately provide a solid base down low. Moving to outer rows, more space is generated with clipped corners and a rolled sidewall set of pins.  The new tire is stable at high-speeds and high-bite, but also allows clean-out room for deeper dirt, loam, or sandy conditions.

The Dirt Bite concept involves the pins of the tire being positioned in a radius giving new alignment to racing surfaces. No matter how you view the new tire, the arrangement flows at a curvature making the Dirt Bite unique to all other tires on the market. The Square pin, with tapered sizing has a crisp feel, malleable to the racing terrain and contorts to meet the demands of surfaces ranging from wet and loamy, to blue and black groove conditions.  The pins themselves are comparable to popular JConcepts tires like the Reflex and Triple Dees, but, the sturdy base, radius at the carcass, helps build a new super tire. Dirt Bites are built on the proven JConcepts continuous radius tire carcass that feature inner radial ribbing.  The new design allows for increased hard corner drivability and the bead of the tire drops right on to industry standard 83mm wheels.
