Schumacher FT9 FWD Touring Car

Schumacher has announced their new FT9 FWD Touring Car.  The British manufacturer’s latest kit incorporates many features from the hugely successful Mi9 touring car.  Two Kit versions are available, one with an 7075-T6 Alloy Chassis and one with a Special Stiff Weave Carbon Fibre Chassis.  Each offer extreme weight reductions in the rear of the car, as well as advanced flexibility characteristics.  The car also gets a new front bumper design with foam bumper and black brass weight.  Optional 60g (6x10g weights U8774) additional weight locations.  The car has all new suspension geometry and the rear suspension layout has an all new shock mounting design. Schumacher has fully updated the front transmission housing which is the same on the left and right side.  The Rear Transmission housing is also new for maximum rearward weight saving and optimum rigidity.  The drive train also gets lightweight gear differential design with ultra-smooth action giving improved performance and improved ease of build, especially with requirement for maximum oil capacity seen in FWD.  An optional oil bleeding design included for an even easier build technique.

Additional new features

New – Driveshaft design. All new low profile joint, joint positioning, ball bearing outputs and weight reduction provide performance improvements.
New – Nano shock absorbers with total length reduction of 7.6mm. Uncompromised stroke for improved performance and lower centre of gravity.
