Tamiya TRF201 2wd buggy
Having covered the new TRF201 1/10 scale electric powered 2WD buggy in detail before, Tamiya America have sent us full details along with photos of the new car, which was recently shown to the public at the Shizuoka Toy fair in Japan. The tub chassis has been made from fiberglass reinforced nylon resin and features a longitudinal battery position with the rear section designed for optimized chassis roll balance. Overall the chassis shape is designed for an improved center of gravity whilst providing sufficient ground clearance. The aeration dampers feature new coil springs with the suspension designed to achieve excellent handling performance. Front axles are compatible with wheels using metric size ball bearings. The body’s aerodynamics will assist in providing superior control over your machine and features a beautiful flowing design and the separately available wing set comes with 2 kinds of wings to further customize your settings. For the US, the chassis will be bundled with the body and wing, unlike in the rest of the World where it will need to be purchased separately. Expect a late June release, the release date having slipped due to a bearing issue.
