Marek Cerny doubles at Czech Championship
The Czech electric on-road championships where held in the small Moravian town of Jedovnice last weekend. The race was run in Touring Car Open and Stock, GT, Hobby and a Formula class on quite a fast track with a lot of straights and a medium grip level. Ride ETS tyres where used in the Open class while Stock was run on LRP rubber. After a full day of practice on Friday the race started on Saturday with 5 rounds of qualifying with the best 3 to count.
In the Open Touring Car class Marek Černý (Xray) won four of the five qualifiers to put him on pole position for the finals. Young Jirka Vyšín also scored a round win showing his talent. In the finals Marek checked out to win A1 and A2 handing him the overall win early. Behind him the race for second was on between Jirka Vyšín (Xray) and Zdenko Kunák (Yokomo) with the latter taking the win in A3, handing him the overall 2nd place from Jirka who completed the Open class podium.

In Stock “zero boost” class 17.5T LRP motors where used and the track layout allowed to go “flat out” most of the time. Marek Černý (Xray) again took TQ and the overall win early by winning A1 and A2 coming from pole position. He wasn’t unchallenged though as Zdenko Kunák put quite a pressure on him but at the end Zdenko (Yokomo) had to settle for 2nd. David Nemček (Xray) finished 3rd to complete the Stock class podium.

In the GT Class Kuba Šimurda (Xray) took his strong victory starting from the 3rd position on the grid. Roman Krejčí (Corally) and Vítězslav Hola (Xray) finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.
