German Electric Touring Car Nationals – Report
This year’s German Electric Touring Car Nationals took place at the MSC Braunschweig track in Northern Germany in the three classes of Modified, 13.5T Sport Stock and 17.5T Hobby Stock. The weather made for challenging conditions in the practice heats but the qualifying and finals would be held in dry conditions. In the Modified class it was Ronald Völker who would take the 2014 championship honours from Marc Rheinard and Marc Fischer. Stefan Heisterkamp took the 40+ title while Tim Kohmann grabbed the title for the best youngster in the Modified class.
In 13.5T blinky Jan Ratheisky came in first in front of Daniel Wohlgemuth and Tony Streit. The 40+ title went to Thomas Oehler while Romondia Luca Tommaso took the youngster title.
Finally in 17.5T it was Christian Wehrmann who put himself on top of the podium with Uwe Kortehaneberg on the runner-up spot. The result also handed Uwe the 40+ title in the Hobby class. Jochen Janik completed the podium while Timo Weller grabbed the junior and Steven Meyer the youngster title.
