Kyosho Mini-Z MB-010VE 2.0 chassis set

Coming soon from Kyosho is the Mini-Z MB-010VE 2.0 chassis set. The second generation Mini-Z buggy is equipped with a powerful brushless motor and a new speed controller that improves drive feeling. With tyres and wheels sold separately, the chassis set has been optimised as a racing platform thanks to the capable brushless motor. The other significant change is the newly designed ESC circuit board that delivers vastly improved throttle control, enabling the posture to be controlled through jumps for a distinct racing advantage. In addition to the throttle and brake parameter settings possible with the previous model ESC, with an optional setup cable and free software download, this new circuit board features motor drive frequency and electronic timing settings in the future.

Hard Racing Magellan hauler bag

HRC Distribution have introduced the new Hard Racing Magellan hauler bag for 1/10th scale crawlers and monster trucks. The bag is made of durable nylon material in green, grey and black colour and it features an inner box made of sturdy carton. The bag is large enough to store and transport most 1/10th scale crawlers, trial or monster trucks and it becomes available by mid-February.

Schumacher Winter Series Rd4 – Report

Round 4 of the Schumacher Winter Series was held by the Louth Radio Control Car Club. Minus temperatures outside, but warm temperatures would meet the drivers inside the Meridian Leisure Centre. A more technical track would meet the on and off road drivers. 13.5 blinky the biggest class at this event growing in numbers each time out. James Hart and Alex Brocklebank would share the spoils in qualifying. It was much the same in the finals with these two breaking from the field. Alex in the end taking the win, with two solid results. James Hart would come home a close second, and Mikey Mansell would bring his Capricorn home to 3rd.

Revtech 6750mAh 15.2V LiHV battery pack

Coming from Trinity is the new Revtech 6750mAh 4S 15.2V LiHV hardcase battery pack. It is made using high-quality 110C Graphene high-voltage LiPo cells for low internal resistance and improved power output and the pack’s dimensions allow to use the battery in all applications that require a standard 4S pack. The battery will become available by mid-February and it comes pre-wired with an XT90U connector.

Sweep Racing introduce new off-road tyre compound

Sweep Racing have introduced the new Super Extreme Soft tyre compound for their range of off-road tyres. The softest in the line of now seven rubber mixtures, the Super Extreme Soft is marked with a gold-colour dot for easy identification and it is best used in low-traction and cold racing conditions as it provided increased traction and an easier driving feeling. The new compound is available for Sweep’s full line of off-road tyres.

T-Works BD8-2018 twin-type spool outdrives

T-Works have introduced a set of twin-type spring steel spool outdrives for the Yokomo BD8-2018 touring car. The driveshaft adapters are machined from high-quality spring steel, sport a hardened surface for wear and two differently-sized sets of slots allow to use them with the standard non-bladed or optional C-blade equipped front driveshafts. Included in the set is also suitable mounting hardware.

Teamsaxo MTC1 carbon fibre chassis parts

Coming from Teamsaxo and made for Mugen’s MTC1 1/10th electric touring car are a replacement carbon fibre main chassis plate as well as several top decks. The main chassis is made from 2.2mm carbon fibre while the single-piece top deck as well as the split ultra-flex front and rear upper plates are machined from 2.0mm material. All are direct replacements for the standard items and available separately.

Team Associated Reflex DB10 & Trophy Rat RTR kits

Team Associated have introduced their new Reflex DB10 buggy and Trophy Rat 1/10th scale RTR truck. Both are based on AE’s 9-time R.O.A.R. Short Course National Championship-winning truck platform. They feature some major upgrades not normally found in RTRs, such as a water-resistant high-power Reedy brushless speed control and 3300kV brushless motor, a 2.4GHz 2-channel radio system as well as AE’s all-new DVC (Dynamic Vehicle Control) receiver unit with built-in adjustable digital gyro which allows vehicle stability to be adjusted to flow with the terrain. A Reedy metal-gear digital high-torque servo and LED lights front and rear round out both packages. The suspension also received an upgrade with the addition of adjustable blue anodised aluminium V2 12mm big bore coil-over shocks. The gearbox now comes with a heavy-duty sealed-gear differential and externally adjustable V2 slipper clutch. 81mm CVA driveshafts increase traction and chassis support. Hex-drive, realistic off road wheels and tyres, to keep the vehicles gripping the ground, come standard. The Reflex DB10 comes finished with a pre-painted buggy body shell while the Trophy Rat utilises a customised and weathered truck body.
