Norwegian Electric On-road Nationals – Report

The 2020 Norwegian Electric On-road Championship was hosted by the Stavanger Modellbilklubb and held at the huge Klepp RC track in western Norway. While Nikko Haheim took the win in the Touring Modified class, it was Odd Helge Johansen with the victory in Touring Stock. Thor Bjorn Gabrielsen came in 2nd overall from Vidar Gunderson in 3rd. Bjorn Ole Haagenvik came in 4th, Anna Nedrebo rounded out the top 5.

T-Works S35 series DLC-coated shock shafts

Coming from T-Works are new DLC-coated shock shafts for the SWorkz S34-4 and S35-3 off-road buggies. Available are S35-4 specific 58.2mm front and 69.2mm rear as well as S35-3 specific 60mm front and 70.4mm rear shafts all of which are made of high-quality steel that received a DLC coating for a slick and rigid surface. The coating is usually used to protect the crankshafts of nitro engines, ensuring a very low wear and long durability of both the shock shafts and shock O-rings.

Manfred Neuhold wins at Xray Challenge 2020

The Austrian MORAC-Ring hosted the Xray Challenge 2020 last weekend in several nitro and electric 1/8th and 1/10th scale classes. In the 1/8th scale Electric GT class it was Manfred Neuhold with the overall TQ from Klaus Saurer on the runner-up spot. Klaus would take the win in the opening A-main event, however it was Manfred who came back for A2 and A3, taking the overall win from Klaus Saurer in 2nd and Harald Schneller in 3rd.

Yeah Racing CC02 aluminium hi-clearance lower links

Yeah Racing have introduced their new aluminium hi-clearance lower links for the Tamiya CC02 trail truck. The links increase suspension efficiency, as opposed to the stock plastic links which might bend and create instability. The specially shaped links also give more clearance whilst tackling difficult terrain. The set includes four links for the front and rear suspension.

Exotek introduce new DR10 optionals

Coming from Exotek are new option parts for the Team Associated DR10 range of drag racing cars. First up is a set of aluminium rear hubs whose heavy-duty design maintains the suspension geometry setting, race after race. The updated design works as either the left or right hub and it also allows for adjusting the wheelbase as needed using the supplied spacers. The upright ball stud mounting matches the stock roll centre height and the hubs are also usable for the DB10 and B5 series kits.

Meen V. wins at Huge Challenge Rd6

Round 6 of the popular Huge Challenge was held at the Huge RC Circuit in Bangkok, Thailand last weekend. The race saw the running of both nitro and electric 1/8th and 1/10th scale classes and in 1/8th IC Track it was former IFMAR 1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring World Champion, Meen Vejrak with the win from Attitat Inmitin on the runner-up spot. Best Tanat Inmitin came in 3rd overall from Sivawat Wat and Chatkul Kob who completed the top 5 podium result.

Sergio Suarez wins at TTPRC Championship opener

The opening round of the TTPRC Championship was held in Lima, Peru after racing came to a halt for about five month due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. In the Nitro Buggy class it was Sergio Suarez, who started from 3rd on the grid, who took over the lead already after the first corner and from there he never looked back to take the win from Walter Donaire in 2nd. Sergio’s teammate, Fernando de los Ríos came in 3rd overall.

Slovakian EP Off-road Nationals Rd5 – Report

Round 5 of the Slovakian Electric Off-road Nationals was held in Dubnica nad Váhom last weekend. Due to the sunny weather the track dried out for the finals leaving it with a dusty, low-traction surface. In the 2WD Buggy class it was Adam Urban with the win from TQ holder, Roman Pavlus in 2nd and Michal Nagy in 3rd.
