Hudy introduce their new Joint Grease

Hudy introduce their new Joint Grease

Coming from Hudy is their new joint grease. The lubricant is specially formulated to allow for a reliable lubrication of all driveshaft joints used in on-road and off-road kits. The high viscosity prevents the grease from being flung away at high RPM and thus it is ideal for the cross pin assembly of CV and universal driveshafts as well as the differential outdrive and drive pin section of the drivetrain. The lube comes in a handy container and it is thus easy to use and apply.

JConcepts Space Bars 1/10th buggy tires

JConcepts Space Bars 1/10th buggy tyres

JConcepts have introduced the new Space Bars 1/10th buggy tire. The 2.2″ offering is designed for the popular indoor track conditions where the surface is mostly built of clay soil and it was designed to excel when using mid-motor vehicles, on tracks with large jump conditions. The tread, originally based on the legendary Dirt Webs tire design, connects uniformly positioned Space Bars to create a stable tire. The design relies heavily on a larger format of the original Web pattern for massive forward acceleration. Inside the supported bar portion rests long horizontal and short vertical alternating bars which help balance side-bite and backs up the Space Bar feature to help minimize wear, helping to break-in quickly for competition but not wear out before that all important peak performance. The outer edges feature a tiny single rib on each side which proves extra side-bite during heavy cornering and side-loading characteristics. The Space Bar tread sits on a rounder profile carcass with a shorter side-wall which transitions quickly and lands and jumps with increased traction. The plump look of the wide-body tire grips hard and also gives a sense of comfort for the aggressive driver. The inner ribbing has been updated to keep the tire expansion to a minimum while still providing a healthy dose of flexibility to the tire allowing a greater balance of monster forward traction and comfortable side-bite. The tire is available in gold compound for the front and rear and they include Dirt Tech closed cell inserts.

2016 Halloween Classic – Report

2016 Halloween Classic – Report

The 2016 Halloween Classic once again brought in racers from around the U.S. to The Gate in Brunswick, Ohio. The limited space available makes a pitting area a coveted badge of honor as it once again sold out, this year in only about 1 hour after going live for sign ups. Even with the extreme pressure all weekend everybody was having a blast, making new friends, and enjoying the announcing by the fabulous Mr. Chris Goetz. Having fun is the priority at The Gate, which is what helps make this race popular every year. Qualifying was hot and heavy as previous TQs fell in many classes from round 1 to round 4, keeping everyone on their toes and wrenching in the pits to find that something extra. Many former Stock class winners also jumped into the Mod arena in Touring Car while trying the test class of 12th 6.5 blinky.
