Spektrum SR415 4-channel receiver

Spektrum SR415 4-channel receiver

Coming in mid-August is Spektrum’s latest sport receiver, the SR415 ideal for anyone wanting a robust 4-channel receiver that can handle the worst nature and the RF environment you can throw at it. It’s built around frequency-agile DSMR technology that delivers superb range and response, especially in places where a lot of 2.4GHz systems are in use at once. This signal security is complemented by a fuel-proof case and a waterproof Reliakote coating that seals internal electronics from the elements and other corrosives like nitro methane and motor spray.

Shepherd Velox V8 hard-coated alloy wheel axles

Shepherd Velox V8 hard-coated alloy wheel axles

Shepherd have introduced new option parts for the Velox V8 in the form of hard-coated wheel axles that reduce the rotating mass by around 50 percent to improve the acceleration and overall handling of the car. The CNC-machined wheel axles are made from high-quality Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium which offers high strength and durability. A special hard-coating prevents the axles from excessive wear and an additional hole for the CVD pin simply doubles the lifetime. The axles are available separately or as a complete set with CVD driveshafts.

Dutch Electric On-road Nationals Rd4 – Report

Dutch Electric On-road Nationals Rd4 – Report

Round four of the Dutch Electric On-road Nationals was held at the RACO2000 track in Utrecht. The weather forecast for Saturday wasn’t very promising, so only a few drivers joined the open practice for testing and track time. In the morning it was dry, but around noon the clouds opened and the practice was washed away by a lot of rain. Most drivers packed their stuff and went home beside three brave guys who ultimately quit around 3 pm when things got even worse with a lot of wind and even more rain. On Sunday thankfully things were a lot different from the day before with nice and sunny weather. After three rounds of qualifying the Touring Modified class had Rob Janssen (Team Magic) taking the TQ from Jetze Reitsma (Spec-R) and Richard Arts (Tamiya). Touring Stock 13.5 saw Sybrand de Boer (Tamiya) coming out fastest from Fokke Groen (Xray) and Rick van den Akker (Xray). Finally in the Formula class Martijn van der Heijden (Xray) took the pole position for the finals from Axel Kleingeld (CRC) and Tim Jansen (Serpent).
