Exotek FGX-EFX F1 chassis conversion kit

Exotek Racing introduce the EFX chassis conversion for the 3Racing FGX Formula 1 car. Included in the kit are new top and bottom chassis plates cut from 2.25mm carbon, double-layer nose section, lowered front upper/inner arm mounts and new battery holders for “shorty” and normal-size LiPo battery packs. The conversion allows for two different servo positions to adjust weight bias. Enlarged bottom cutouts for improved motor cooling while the narrowed side chassis profile makes for improved chassis roll and reduced cornering scrub. Team Durango DEX410 & ‘408 option parts

Team Durango release new option parts for the DEX410 and ‘408 line of 4WD off-road vehicles. Made for the DEX410 line of cars is the aluminium servo saver arm that replaces the stock plastic part with a CNC-machined and hard anodised aluminium version. The part offers increased strength over the kit item and is a direct replacement. The other new parts are volume compensating foams for the ‘408 line of electric and nitro off-road buggies. The foam is designed to be fitted above the shock diaphragm inside the shock cap and is intended to be used in conjunction with the company’s vented shock caps and offers additional support to the diaphragm when used with the vented caps. The compensators can also be used with the stock shock caps for increased rebound characteristics and extra tuning possibilities.

East Coast Carpet regionals report

Last weekend the East Coast Carpet regionals were held at the MRH Raceway in Baltimore/MD. The race unofficially began on Friday. Racers started pouring in before the store even opened to try and get as much practice as possible. Friday evening laid host to a small club race so that some out-of -owners could get acquainted with the track and be fresh for the Saturday marathon of racing. The real fun started on Saturday, practice began promptly at 8am and the track filled immediately with cars from all the offered classes; 13.5 WGT, Stock TC, Stock 12th, and F1. The goal of the race was to provide a warm up for the carpet nationals in Texas, so the class structure followed what ROAR had laid out. This structure proved to be popular, as all the classes were sufficiently filled with a wide talent range. 3 qualifiers were ran in traditional format and the mains concluded around 11PM. Racers had a great time, some visiting us from up to a 6 hours drive away. We all are looking forward to next years event, and hope to make it bigger and better than the last.
