Brazilian 1/10 200mm nationals Rd3 report

The third round of the 1/10 scale 200mm nationals was held at the AARC do ABC track in São Paulo with rain affecting the last round of the national series which resulted in a cancellation of round 3 meaning only the first two races in Paraná and Rio De Janeiro would count to crown the 2011 national champions in the three categories Master, Turismo Light and Turismo Pro. In the Masters category it was Edson Lima from Paraná who took the title in front of Paul Martin and Sandro Gyorg. In the Turismo Light category Shepherd/Max Power driver Luciano Aquino claimed the championship with Paul Martin taking the runner-up spot and Edson Lima finishing in third place.  In the Turismo Pro Category Shepherd/Max Power driver Eduardo Dulac took the championship followed by Leandro Campos (Mugen/Capricorn) and Gabriel Brito (Shepherd/Max Power).

Team C Racing TR2 brushless SC truck

Team C Racing released first information on their TR2 brushless Short Course truck. The intermediate-level ready-to-run truck meets ROAR specifications and comes with a factory-installed 2.4GHz radio system, brushless motor, 35A brushless speed controller and pre-painted body shell.

Team Associated TC6 ceramic bearing set

Team Associated have released a ceramic ball bearing set for the TC6 electric touring car. Included are a total of 14 driveline bearings to improve performance by reducing drag and increasing longevity. The bearings are also sold in pairs with 6x10x3mm, 10x15x4mm standard and 4x8x3mm flanged bearings available.

Team Assciated SC10 4×4 titanium shock mounts

Made for the SC10 4×4 truck are the Team Associated Factory Team titanium shock mounts. The parts are machined from durable 6AL-4V titanium, save 3g per pair over the standard steel shock mounts for a lower centre of gravity and fit both the SC10 4×4 and SC10 4×4 RTR kits.

The TP1430C is a powerful and advanced multi-chemistry charger, discharger and balancing system. With up to 1000 watts of total charging power the TP1430C is equipped to charge, discharge and cycle a variety of 1-14S LiPo, LiIon and LiFe (A123) batteries, as well as 1-40 cell NiCd and NiMH along with 6-48V Pb batteries. The built-in 2-14S LiPo/LiIon/LiFe (A123) cell balancer and included balance connector adapter board are readily compatible with Thunder Power balance connectors and the JST-XH balance connectors found on most other batteries. CSO have released these optional shock bodies for Mugen’s MTX-5 and MRX-5 chassis. The parts are CNC machined from high-quality 7075 T6 aluminium for reduced chance of breakage during racing and are hard coated for a smooth movement of the shock’s piston.

T.O.P. Sabre FD Mini alloy steering hubs

T.O.P. Racing got in touch to show us a new option part for the Sabre FD Mini chassis in the form of CNC-machined aluminium steering hubs. The parts are specially designed to suit the car’s steering geometry, improve strength and make maintenance easier as the number of steering parts is reduced. Using the aluminium steering hubs also improve the heat dissipation to reduce the front tyre temperature.

South Swedish Indoor Cup Rd1 report

The opening round of the South Swedish Indoor Cup was held on an indoor track, close to Gothenburg. 26 drivers attended it in the Modified class on the fast high traction track. After three rounds of qualifying Michael Nilsson took TQ followed by Daniel Carlsson and Mattias Johansson. In the opening final there was a goof race between Michael and Daniel with the latter making a big mistake going on the straight which allowed Michael to take home this leg pretty easy. Leg two again saw some nice moves in the opening minutes from the top runners. The leg was decide with around a minute to go as Daniel begun to catch Michael with the latter making a mistake allowing Daniel to slip through and going for the win in the second leg. Leg three would decide the race victory and Daniel followed Michael closely for about two minutes into the race waiting for an opportunity to pass. The the heat of the race Michael hit a corner marker allowing Daniel to pass only to become passed by Michael the lap after. With 30 seconds to go Michael was held up by traffic badly, allowing Daniel to win not only the third final but also the meeting.
