Edam Spirit 2 speed upgrade kit

Edam release a 2 speed upgrade kit for the Spirit 1/10 scale on-road nitro chassis. Updated parts are the new steel rear layshaft with increased durability compared to the previously used titanium one and a new first gear one way sleeve to put away stress from the shaft and the one way bearing for a better efficiency of the drive system.

Team C Racing TC02 slipper hub V2

Team C Racing release the V2 slipper hub for the TC02 2WD buggy. The plate features the original design but five lines of venting holes to reduce the temperature of the slipper hubs and pads when using high-power brushless motors. Included in the set are two hubs.

Hang wins @ 2011 JMRCA Kanto Championship

KM got in touch to tell us about their recent success at the 2011 JMRCA Kanto Middle Japan championship. Yuichi Adachi (KM H-K1) took TQ on the KeiTune racing track, the host of the upcoming JMRCA All Japan National Championship. In the final Yuichi could not take an advantage of the pole position as he ran into engine trouble that forced him to retire making way for KM team mate Hung Cheung Hang (KM H-K1) who on two laps ahead of Hidekazu Takaishi (Kyosho R4) and Ryuji Noguchi (Mugen MTX4).

Following the Hi-Flow Short Course body shell, JConcepts introduce another new product during this week’s 2011 ROAR Electric Off-Road Nationals. The Hazard 12mm hex wheel for Associated SC10 and SC10 4×4 kits features a 10 spoke design, bead-lock appearance and centre lug nut detail. The Hazard will make an immediate impact on the performance of the SC10 trucks by widening the stance of the truck by 6mm in overall width. The increased width will maximise the SC10 and bring it up to the ROAR maximum legal limits in dimensional width. The wheels should be available soon.

Speedtech RC MobGums 1/12 scale tyres

Speedtech RC from Germany now have an extended line of MobGum tyres for 1/12 scale on-road cars available. Additionally to the existing line of tyres the company now offers Jaco Magenta and Double-Pink front as well as Pink and Magenta rear foam on Yokomo R12 wheels. Also, MobGums tyres on grey Prism wheels will be shipped in a race ready size now. The rears feature 45 mm diameter with the front tyres being 43 mm in size. This does away with the often unwanted need to trim and true the tyres before use.

Tekin Pro4 brushless motors

Tekin introduce the new Pro4 electric brushless motor for 4WD 1/10 scale Short Course trucks. Utilising the design of the T8 1/8th scale motor, the Pro4 produces high torque and smooth power with especially chosen KV ranges to complement 2S and 3S LiPo batteries. The motors feature a 4 pole 12 slot hi-torque design, neodymium sintered magnets, high purity copper windings, CNC-machined 6061 T6 Billet aluminium heatsink can, front 5x13x4mm and rear 5x10x5mm ABEC5 bearings and dual-plug sensor wire harness for use with all sensored and sensorless controllers. The Pro4 with a diameter of 35.8mm and a length of 52.9mm are available with 3300kv, 4000kv and 4600kv ratings.

Markus Mobers has left Team Serpent

1/12 scale on-road specialist Markus Mobers got in touch to tell us that he recently left Team Serpent as a team-driver and representative. Markus left the team on his own wishes after four years as a member of the company’s travelling race team. Varying product ideas made the end of partnership unpreventable. Markus likes to thank Team Serpent for their support in the past years. The three time in a row European 1/12 stock vice-champion will now join forces with On-Point USA, a new brand on the 1/12 market. The partnership is working on an 1/12 scale upgrade kit, the new car will be available early September. In Europe On-Point USA will be distributed by Speedtech RC Germany.
