Team Orion introduce their full line of Vortex R-series electric brushless speed controllers. Covering both the needs of the intermediate level and pro racer the swiss company offers 1/10 scale and 1/8 scale controllers for various applications from 1/12 scale up to 1/8 scale. All variants offer offer adjustable drive modes, various software parameters like drag brake, punch and low-voltage cut-off via on-board programming or the optional DSB-R Digital Program Box. Available are 1/10 scale pro and sport variants in the form of the R10Pro, R10S/SC and R10 Sport as well as the R8Pro, R8S and R8.

Tony Knauth wins Aussiemove Rd2

Tony Knauth has won the recent second round of this year’s Aussiemove off-road series at the OCR circuit. The Mugen driver was hard chases for the win by Marc Christianson (Mugen) and Serpent driver Tim Nicol. Fourth place after five rounds of running went to Nathan Tampe (Hyper) with Daniel White  (Mugen) in fifth place.

Merril Myers wins @ Blue Diamond Park

Merrill Myers has won the 1/10 touring 200mm class at the 3rd annual Pete Johnson Have a Nice Day memorial Race at Blue Diamond Park. Merrill Myers (Shepard Velox v11) took down the win, sweeping two of the three legs with Mike Keely (Xray NT1) in second, and Irvine Cole (Capricorn Lab-C01) finishing third seven seconds over the TQ driver Juan Amador in fourth. It was a hard fought battle for third and fourth with the position changing many times of the course of the triple A’s. Merrill and Mike couldn’t be touched in first and second respectively.

Team Durango release an aluminium rear gear box holder for the DEX410, DEX410R or DESC410R. Precision machined from high-grade aluminium and anodised to give it a hard-wearing finish the metal part replaces the stock plastic holder. The holder features a set screw that is used to hold the hinge pin in place for the battery strap.

Moore & Anderson win BRCA TC nationals Rd3

For the second round in succession the BRCA national touring car championship was dominated by bad weather, but coming through the extreme conditions was the Hot Bodies duo of Andy Moore and Ayrton Anderson. In the Super Touring class it was the Associated TC6 of Johnny Aird that took TQ, his first at national level, second place was Andy Moore with Matt White third. Andy kept the TCX on the road while the chasing pack struggled, Andy took all three legs of the A final, second place went to Brian Eldridge, the Top Driver coming from the back of the grid to score his best national result to date, Johnny Aird took the final podium spot with his TC6. Andy Moore now leads the Super Touring class from Chris Grainger and Olly Jefferies with two rounds to go.
