Yokomo Racing Performer Ultra differential oil

Yokomo have introduced the new Racing Performer Ultra differential oil. The premium quality fluid will ensure consistent and fading-free performance from start to finish, even in today’s ultra-demanding modified classes or when running in high ambient temperatures. The diff fluid oil is available in 5000, 7500k, 10k and 15k hardnesses and it is usable for both on-road and off-road classes.

Ryan Maifield TQs & wins at JBRL Nitro Series Rd2

Thunder Alley Raceway of Beaumont, California played host to round 2 of the JBRL Nitro Series this past weekend. The event attracted over 230 entries, including some of the country’s fastest off-road racers and several IFMAR World Champions, and in the premier class of Expert Nitro Buggy it was Mugen’s Ryan Maifield, 2017 IFMAR 2WD and 4WD Buggy World Champion, with the overall TQ from Spencer Rivkin, 2019 2WD World Champion, in 2nd. In the 15-minute A-main Ryan would lead from tone-to-tone while Spencer dropped back and only finished in 10th overall. Up front however, it was SWorkz’s Ryan Cavalieri, multi-times World Champion, who slowly worked his way up from P5 on the grid to take the runner-up spot some six seconds behind Maifield. 3rd place qualifier, Adam Drake (Mugen) came in 3rd overall to round out the podium a lap down.

Robert Batlle sweeps Catalonia Open

The 2020 Catalonia Open was held this past weekend in 1/8th Nitro, Electric and Beginners classes. The event was hosted by the RACBSA club and it was Mugen’s Robert Batlle with the overall TQ from Alex Valls on the runner-up spot. In the 45-minute A-main event it was again Robert who would excel as he took the win some two laps in front of Alex as Aleix Navarro came in 3rd overall, another three laps behind. David Bugallo finished the main final in 4th from Jose Mayco Maldonado in 5th.

Burak Kilic wins at Sachsencup Rd2

Round 2 of the Sachsencup was hosted by the MRC Leipzig club in Germany this past weekend. In the Nitro Buggy class it was Mugen’s Burak Kilic with the win in the 30-minute A-main event, a super narrow 0.16 seconds in front of his brother and Mugen teammate, Berkan Kilic. SWorkz’s Sophie Müller came in 3rd overall, already four laps behind. Maxim Milde and Stev Krause rounded out the top 5, another one and two laps behind respectively.

Lucas Westerlund wins at Swedish Off-road Champs Rd1

The opening round of the Swedish 1/8th Off-road Championship was hosted by the Älvsby club this past weekend. Emil Edlund took the overall TQ in pretty challenging weather and track conditions from Hampus Berg in 2nd and Jessica Palsson in 3rd. In the 45-minute A-main event it was Lucas Westerlund (Mugen) who would hold the upper hand from Hampus Berg (HB Racing), who suffered some issues during the first pit stop, but eventually managed to recover to 2nd overall. Agama driver, Jessica Palsson came in 3rd overall after having obtained the 2nd place for some time during the race but got caught by Hampus, finishing five seconds behind.
