Traxxas 4-Tec 2.0 drift tyres & spool assembly

Traxxas have introduced a new line of drift tyres as well as a spool assembly for the 4-Tec 2.0 on-road car. Starting with the hard-compound plastic tyres, they provide the perfect combination of durability and breakaway potential for any drifting surface. Tough enough for carpet, concrete, or even asphalt, these tyres hold up battle after battle. Precision-glued at the factory, the pre-mounts come in both narrow front and wide rear configurations. Orange, green, or black chrome rim colours help to add a splash of colour or match the body’s design. Also new is the optional differential spool that locks the front or rear axles for predictable breakaway. The set includes all needed parts to replace the standard differential.

Pro-Line Impulse 1.9” black internal bead-loc wheel

Coming soon from Pro-Line is the Impulse 1.9” black plastic internal bead-loc wheel for 1/10th rock crawlers. These wheels are designed to not only look scale but to be super easy to use by only requiring six screws per wheel for mounting tyres. The unique 3-piece plastic wheel design bolts together in the back and locks on to most 1.9″ crawling tyres. The back of the 12mm hex wheel also accepts Pro-Line’s optional brass brake rotor weights for additional looks and performance. The overall wheel width and wheel offset are the same as Pro-Line’s line of 1.9″ aluminium Pro-Forge wheels and the wheels will hit stores soon.

Exotek Exo-Six alloy gearbox & CF shock towers

Exotek have introduced new option part for the Exo-Six conversion kit in the form of an aluminium gearbox set, carbon fibre shock towers and a 48 pitch main gear. Starting with the gearbox, the bulkhead is machined from 7075 alloy and provides a solid tweak-free design that is about 8g lighter than each of the stock plastic gear boxes for a substantially lower centre of gravity and thus improved chassis roll. New camber mounting points are more inboard for smoother handling when running longer camber link lengths and more robust to resist breakages as in the stock plastic mounts. Additional features include new centre hold sway bar guide for less weight and easier alignment and raised 2mm top plate mounts allow for easier access to the motor screws and battery plugs. Last but not least do precise bearing guides make for a much more free drive train versus stock.

Pro-Line Ambush truck body shells

Coming from Pro-Line are the new Ambush truck body shells for 313mm wheelbase rock crawlers and 1/10th monster trucks. The original Ambush body was released many years ago, well before scale crawling went mainstream, so Pro-Line has updated the body style for more modern tastes. The bodies include Pro-Line’s Ridge-Line Trail Cage moulded to replicate full scale cages and accepts Pro-Line’s Overland Scale Roof Rack, that is sold separately, for adding scale accessories like the optional 4″ LED Light Bar. The Ambush bodies feature a scale interior complete with seats and a separate dash along with a rear gas tank and trunk space for installing even more scale accessories. The bodies are available in two variants, for 313mm/12.3” wheelbase crawlers and also for 1/10th monster trucks such as the Pro-Line Pro-MT 4×4 or Traxxas Stampede 4×4.
