Mugen MBX8 titanium screw sets

Coming from Mugen and made for the new MBX8 1/8th off-road buggy are three titanium screw sets. Available soon are the A set for most upper parts of the buggy while the B set is for the use with most chassis-based parts such as bulkheads. Also available is a 4-piece set of SJG4-20 titanium flat head screws. All are machined from high-quality titanium for a lower weight compared to the standard steel screws while ensuring higher corrosion resistance and cooler looks. The sets will become available from end of February.

Xray XB8 V2 graphite differential cases

Coming from Xray and made for the XB8 and XB8E buggies are the V2 graphite composite differential cases. The parts are moulded from graphite reinforced composite material for a lower weight, higher temperature resistance and higher wear resistance. In addition the parts will hold the hardware more secure and the cases are available separately for the front/rear and centre diffs.

Hudy aluminium parts tray

Hudy have introduced their new aluminium parts tray. It is machined from high-quality aluminium and comes black anodised and with laser-etched lettering and graphics. Four machined compartments of various sizes help to organise hardware, two holes take differentials during building, maintenance and setup and 4mm and 5mm holes allow to hold bullet-type connectors for easier soldering. Additional screw length scales help to source the correct screw during building and machined chamfered edges make for convenient usage and cool looks.

Lee Setser & AJ Marasco take King of Stock titles

The inaugural running of the King of Stock Off-road Championship hosted by NewRed Hobbies took place last weekend. NewRed Hobbies is an indoor track located in north-central Florida with a very unique surface that is hard packed clay that is glued. With this race being 13.5T and 17.5T stock only, total entry count was a little smaller at 78 across the six classes; 2WD Indy buggy, 2WD SCT, 2WD Expert, 4WD Expert, Stadium Truck, and RTR Sportsman. Three rounds of qualifying were run on Saturday. Team Associated driver Lee Setser put in a dominating performance in the 4WD expert class with a perfect score for the overall TQ. The 2WD Expert class was very competitive in qualifying with Team Associated driver AJ Marasco and former World Champion Billy Easton (Serpent) trading TQ runs throughout qualifying, but Billy secured the overall TQ in the 3rd round. After qualifying ended, they had a 10-minute/no turn-marshal “Dash for Cash” for the Expert 2WD A-main drivers. There was an amazing 3-way battle between AJ Marasco, Lee Setser, and Billy Easton, but in the end, it was JConcepts Lee Setser taking the win and cash prize.

Gravity RC Pit Locker race day organiser

Gravity RC have introduced their new Pit Locker race day organiser, an all-in-one paddock-style parts tray and shock stand. The 3-D-printed item is designed to keep things sorted on race day, such as go-to tuning options and routine pit parts like body clips, wheel nuts and shims, keeping them accessible and organised right in the pit. The Pit Locker combines three useful pit features into one with a small to med size parts storage, parts tray, and shock stand. The item is only available in limited quantity due to very high print time.

Marka Awesomatix aluminium caster tools

Coming from Marka Racing and made for the Awesomatix A800 and A700 touring cars are aluminium caster tools. The machined pointers help to precisely adjust the front and wheel caster in combination with standard setup systems. The tools are machined from high-quality aluminium and they come black anodised and with laser-etched markings for wear and looks.

WRC STX 1.5 1/10th electric touring car kit

WRC Racing from Italy continue to update their existing line of on-road kits with the latest being the STX 1.5 1/10th 4WD electric touring car. The latest incarnation sports improvements in many areas such as a symmetric chassis for improved car balance, the rail-type steering system was lowered and the tourer now also features a central transmission system. Furthermore allows the STX 1.5 to run two different types of top decks, in standard vertical or traditional horizontal orientation.

Bittydesign high downforce TC body – Coming soon

Bittydesign have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming all-new high downforce 1/10th 190mm touring car body shell. Extreme downforce bodies are the latest choice for the modified touring class all over the world and Bittydesign will have their go from March when the new lid will hit stores.
