Awesomatix roll out new optionals

Awesomatix have introduced a range of new option parts for their A800 and A700 touring car platforms. First up are new +9.0 and +8.0 alloy suspension arms for the A800X LA long arm chassis. The +9.0 variants were developed for the front of the car while the +8.0 arms are used in the rear. The alloy A-arms offer improved rigidity and less flex, making them ideal especially for high to very high bite surfaces, when running in high ambient temperatures, and on US-style tracks with hard track boards where the arms offer improved durability. The arms are available separately or as a convenient combo including two 9.0 and two 8.0 arms.

RC Maker Awesomatix GeoCarbon front bumper mount

RC Maker have introduced the next instalment in their GeoCarbon range, the GeoCarbon front bumper mount for the Awesomatix range of touring cars. Designed to be used with the kit P14-1X lower bumper mount, it increases the bumper’s rigidity, and also the body post rigidity by offering more support around the post. This is a direct replacement for the standard part, and also includes an additional brace to brace the bumper to the bulkheads, preventing the bumper from bending in impacts. Awesomatix roll out new A800 optionals

Coming from Awesomatix are three new option parts for the A800 series of touring cars. First up is the C01B-XAH2LA 2.0mm aluminium chassis that offers additional holes for the +8mm and +9mm arms. Machined from high-quality 7075-T6 material the chassis also sports updated cutouts to offer increased response and a better steering feeling while upping higher corner speeds at the same time. Next up are the AM19-2US mounts that offer the exact same geometry as the AM19-2 parts. However they are machined from 3mm 7075-T6 alloy, meaning they are 0.5mm thicker than the AM19-2. To keep the same roll centre settings, owners need to run 0.5mm thinner shims under ST24 ball studs. Last but not least come the AM06WL-US uprights. They mimic the AM06WL parts but lack the flex cut out, making them more durable. Generally with all of the new “US” parts, these are recommended for the use on US-style tracks with hard boards and barriers as they add a bit of durability on the expense of a slightly higher weight.

Avid Awesomatix steering arm HD

Avid have introduced their new HD steering arm for the Awesomatix A800 and older A700 touring cars. It mimics the geometry of the AM14LS steering arm but was designed with a few features to make it more durable, hence the heavy duty classification. Typically the arm bends at the M3 hole in the middle of the arm which Avid have changed to an M2.5 and added material around the hole and along the sides of the arm to beef it up. The lever is machined from 7075-T6 aluminium, it comes black anodised and the set includes two steering arms, two M2.5×10 stainless steel screws, and an Avid mini decal.
