BRX5 Full Watts 2015 1/8th electric on-road kit

French company BRX released first images of the forthcoming BRX5 Full Watts 1/8th scale 2WD electric on-road kit. The “classic” 2WD car features rigid front and rear suspension parts, a simple single belt drivetrain and a silver carbon fibre main chassis with blue anodised aluminium parts. The front suspension offers adjustable caster, camber, track width and toe settings while the rear end has adjustable camber, track width and toe values. Building on the 2014 kit the ’15 spec car offers new battery mounts for dual 2S standard or shorty LiPo packs with the latter allowing to adjust the weight balance by shifting the packs forth or back.

BRX5 2014 "Classic" 1/8 on-road kit

French company BRX introduce the 2014 version of the BRX5 1/8th “Classic” on-road car. The vehicle is of a very simply design with unsprung front and rear axles and a 1-speed transmission. The 2014 edition makes use of most of its predecessors parts but features a new, thicker main chassis and the front axle plate, radio and rear upper support plate are now also cut from silver-colour carbon fibre for a cleaner looking car. Otherwise the kit remained unchanged in terms of geometry and specifications.

BRX-4 Red Ball Classic 2wd

We’ve only briefly covered the Southern Europe specific Classic 2wd 1/8th scale class before and with the exception of Motonica, who have yet to release their classic model, there are no major manufacturers invloved. But within the class itself there are a number of big names and the French made BRX is one of those names having been making cars in this class, in a 25m2 workshop, for close to 15 years. This latest car, the BRX-4 Red Ball, differs from previous versions due to the new fuel tank (from Motonica) and radio plate, which offers better balance, and the placement of the radio equipment and batteries, as well as the new red colouring throughout.
