Toy Fair 2010 – Corally

Corally 12SL

Dutch company Corally are present at the fair as in previous years and they are showing off their new 12SL 1/12th scale chassis that has been optimised for 1S LiPo. The new link car retains the same front end as its predecessor with most of the changes happening behind the front wheels. The new rear motor pod is now stiffer and more stable thanks to its machining, with the rear axle bearing holders now half integrated into the rear blocks further helping this. To play around with the positioning of the batteries Corally offer option damper mount plates that allow the battery to be place 5mm further forward for different handling characteristics.

Most noticeable are the newly designed and higher bulkheads, new suspension mounts and last but not least a wider chassis plate. What else has the new Corally RDX Phi 09 to offer? Seen in the Corally pits at the DHI Cup in Denmark, which Red RC are covering live, is the new yet to be released follow up to the RDX Phi, the Phi 2. Featuring a new chassis as well as new front and rear bulkheads, the car has essentially been designed to accept LiPo cells. Retaining the same transmission from the previous car, the upper deck is now higher thanks to changes made to the bulk heads and this enables the LiPo packs to fit.
