Futaba T4PX telemetry radio system

Futaba T4PX telemetry radio system

Futaba introduce the T4PX, the company’s latest top-of-the-foodchain radio system. Offering a completely new design compared to the 4PK series, the transmitter is around 15g lighter than the 4PKS-R with an aluminium frame being part of the body to make for a more rigid structure. The 2.4GHz radio makes use of Futaba’s T-FHSS, S-FHSS and FASST-C2 transmitting systems with the T-FHSS system response being 30 percent faster compared to the 4PKS-R’s. Incorporated into the case is a QVGA 3.5 TFT colour screen that allows to monitor all of the radio’s software features such as the the comprehensive mixing and telemetry functions. For sanctioned races all telemetry functions can be disabled. It is understood that the radio will become available by August.

Grid RC 4PLS drop down steering wheel

Grid RC 4PLS drop down steering wheel

Grid RC has announced the pilot project to manufacture a drop down steering wheel for the 4PLS based on the previous released Sanwa MT4 offering. The company developed a specialised mounting bezel adapter that can be bonded to the radio case itself without any screws, thereby preventing the customer from voiding warranty from the radio manufacturer. The drop down steering wheel upgrade is fully CNC-machined, comes with a satin black finish and will work on both the 4PLS and the 4PL. More details can be found on Grid RC’s website.

With the new Futaba 4PLS, modelers can enjoy the benefits of telemetry in two ways. Temperature, voltages and rpm can be monitored in real-time and logged for future reference. Even better, these advantages are included in the 4PLS for the same price as the original 4PL. The 4PLS offers the same value and durability and adds to an already impressive list of high-end racing features.
