Ielasi Tuned GP9R24 .21 Onroad Engine

Ielasi Tuned concludes it 2024 engine releases with the new GP9R24 .21 Onroad engine. Compared to their previous flagship GP9R23WC engine the the new GP9R24 engine get an exclusive Ielasi Tuned piston which allows the Italian engine tuners to have a tighter piston/cylinder coupling than the WC allows it to maintain better compression even when hot. The GP9R24 will be released with the new “R” reinforced connecting rod, crank with different timing and balancing to attenuate internal vibrations, new engine backplate and inner head with revised configuration and cooling head with the new 2024 graphics.

Ielasi Tuned Terra Offroad engine

In its third new engine release of 2024, Ielasi Tuned presents an all new .21 engine for 1:8 Offroad racing with the Terra. A replacement for their previous Dirt and Dusty engines, for a few months now the latest engine has been “secretly” used by the Italian engine tuner’s official drivers with excellent results. Compared to their previous Offroad engine offerings, the Terra satisfies all the requirements that a top of the range engine must have to be within everyone’s reach from professional to amateur: Performance/Quality/Price all in one engine!!! This commercial choice was fundamental for Daniele Ielasi as he believes that even in Offroad, having a single top-of-the-range engine allows him to concentrate economic development forces in a single engine while also managing to have a competitive price for everyone. Technically, the new Terra is an exclusive Ielasi Tuned engine because while all the engine components are produced as by O.S. Engines they have been chosen one by one according to Ielasi’s technical specifications, this engine with this set of components is not part of the series O.S. Engines range.

Ielasi Tuned GP5R24 1:8 GT engine

Italy’s Ielasi Tuned has a new 2024 version of its World Championship winning 1:8 GT .21 engine with the announcement of the release of the GP5R24. Used by their official drivers at the recent EFRA European Championship in Italy with excellent results, securing the TQ and getting 3 out of 3 drivers in the main final with Edoardo Repetti going on to finish in second place, the new engine features two fundamental components changes. A new exclusive Ielasi Tuned piston made by O.S. from Daniele Ielasi own design and new “R” reinforced O.S. conrod. Also improved is the crankshaft timing and the cooling head has also been enlarged while still maintaining lightness.

Spiniello joins Ielasi Tuned engines

World and European Champion engine tuner Ielasi Tuned has announcement that Italian 1:10 200mm Nitro Touring stalwart Mario Spiniello is to represent their products. Excited to welcome Spiniello, who recently finished second at the Italian National Championships, to its team, he brings a wealth of experience and talent to Daniele Ielasi’s brand. The deal coincides perfectly with the upcoming EFRA 1:10 200mm European Championship in France from June 19-22 where he will use their latest GP3R24 engine together with their recently announced new pipe kit 2701. Commenting on the announcement Spiniello said, ‘First of all I want to thank Ielasi Tuned for giving me the opportunity to be part of their team, they immediately proved to be very helpful and great professionals. Ielasi Tuned EFRA 2701 Pipe and Manifold Kit

Former 1:10 Nitro Touring Car World Champion Daniele Ielasi’s Ielasi Tuned engine brand has released a new exclusive Pipe and Manifold Kit for the category’s .12 engines. With this year a World Championship year for Nitro Touring Car, the title to be decided in Costa Rica in November, the new pipe mould which is exclusive to Ielasi Tuned offered improved performance over the older EFRA2688. The kits are available in both a Polished or Hard Coated finish.

Balestri wins Ielasi Tuned International Cup

The 2024 edition of the annual Ielasi Tuned International Cup took place at Pista Leno in Italy over the weekend where it was Infinity’s Dario Balestri who took the 1:8 win ahead of Mugen Seiki’s Simon Kurzbuch and Capricorn’s Toni Gruber. In qualifying for the race put on by former World Champion Daniele Ielasi, it was 1:8 GT World Champion Gruber who took the opening qualifier ahead of Balestri but the reigning 1:8 Onroad World Champion go to the top in Q2 & 3 to secure the overall TQ from Gruber. With two P2 runs young Xray star Filippo Domanin secured P3 on the grid for the 45-minute final ahead of Kurzbuch with Thomas Lorenzi and last year’s winner Francesco Tironi completing the Top 6. Balestri lead away from the start but about half way into the race had issues with Gruber going to the front but then the German would have problems of his own. In the end some very quick pit work for a last minute fuel stop helped keep Balestri ahead of Kurzbuch, the pairing enjoying a great battle for the win as Gruber completed the podium just 3 seconds back after 194 laps of racing.

Ielasi Tuned to power Phi-Long Nguyen

Following his move to Kyosho for the 2024 season, Ielasi Tuned engines has announced it is to power up & coming US 1:8 offroad talent Phi-Long Nguyen’s nitro programme. The 12-year-old will use both Ielasi Tuned engines as well as the Dirt R EVO and Dusty R USA engines from the Italian brand for whom they say the deal will see them ‘take on new challenges and push the boundaries of racing excellence’. Commenting on the announcement Nguyen said, “Super excited to be part of the team. The tuned powerplant will definitely gives us all we need”.

Ielasi Tuned cylinder extractor

After its hugely successful World Championship winning season last year, Ielasi Tuned kicks off 2024 with the release of its new cylinder extractor. Presenting a CAD image of the product concept last May, the Italian company have spent the time since getting the product perfected with Daniele Ielasi knowing a thing or two about rebuilding engines and having extracted one or two liners in his time as an engine tuner! Since 2022 Ielasi Tuned have by technical choice started using a ‘tight fit’ cylinder for their engines which has proven to be a very important step for reliability. A side effect of this is unfortunately that not all customers find it easy to be able to carry out the classic maintenance on their engine as it was very difficult to be able to remove the cylinder from the crankcase. This is precisely the reason they came up with the idea for creating this extractor. It is made entirely of steel with a ‘spring steel collet which makes it reliable and long-lasting and is sold in its own dedicated carry case.
