JConcepts popular Bar Code SC tires are now also available in blue “soft” compound. The tire is designed to excel both in new and used condition on hard surfaces that have taken rubber with either dry or wet grooved conditions. Worn Bar Codes excel on indoor or outdoor clay tracks where a minimal dust groove has formed. Included with the tires are light-weight and durable Closed Cell profiled inserts.

After numerous requests JConcepts has hit the easy button once again and is now offering its most popular SCT tires pre-mounted on the new +3mm Hazard wheel. The Hazard wheel pre-mount combination fits a variety of vehicles including the SC10 RS, SC10 4×4 as a direct fit and SC10 FT, Losi XXX-SCT and SCB with 12mm hex adaptors.

JConcepts introduces the 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 SCT body. Starting with its low-profile design, beefy fenders and noteworthy Silverado appearance, the 1500 SCT body is inspired by the looks of a class leading full-size pick-up, loaded with performance and Hi-Flow features. Fitting on 6 different trucks as a direct fit and over 9 different vehicles overall, the Chevy 1500 is just what you have been looking for. The air escape package on the Silverado consists of user friendly trim-out areas which have been strategically placed to ensure a clean race-able look that minimizes the trouble-some parachute effect. The large Hi-Flow areas are depressed into the body which allows the user to simply score the bottom pocket and pop-out for instant results. The Hi-Flow, reverse, hood-scoop, used predominantly as an under air release feature, blends beautifully into the sculpted extra-clearance fenders while releasing the front end of inner pressure.

JConcepts have introduced their Hazard 12mm hex wheel for the SC10 4×4 and SC10 with 3mm wider off-set. By nature, Short Course trucks have a high center of gravity and tend to feel light or tippy in high-speed sections. There is no better way to improve on-track stability than to add width and with the Hazard wheels sweeping through the high-speed corners gets a little easier. JConcepts has introduced the Pressure Points, the latest low-height tread option specifically designed to tame high-speed courses with either wet or blue groove traction conditions. The design starts as an angular, low pin design as a carryover from the successful Bar Codes front tire line-up. The small “points” combined with ‘lower case’ Y elements developed on the original Bar Codes V1 rear tire provide the ultimate in surface area pressure penetration and tack. The inner side-wall has built-in ribbing which limits carcass collapse and increases support on the outside during hard cornering and driving. Designed to be driven hard while maintaining the grip necessary to drive at the limit, the edges of the side-walls have been carefully rolled for a smooth transition during corning which limits traction-roll characteristics and allows the driver control during the all important tipping point every driver has experienced. Available in Soft (Blue), Super Soft (Green) Indoor Soft (Gold) and Outdoor hot (Orange) compounds.

JConcepts got in touch to show us their new backpack specifically designed to carry a complete Short Course truck with room to spare. The bag features durable external material with front panel printing. Traditional front panel pockets have room for just about anything from spare parts to electrical and tools. The full-length side pockets are purpose built to hold four mounted tires on each side of the bag giving the racer multiple tire options in one contained unit. In addition, the inside of the bag has a composite hard bottom which allows the backpack to support its own weight during storage and packing. A carrying handle on top and conventional back straps with padded area make trips extremely simple. The backpack and compartments are not intended as LiPo safety material. Always follow manufacturers recommendations and specifications while storing potentially hazardous equipment.

When racing or bashing on a loamy or top soil track surface the inside of the SC10 4×4 chassis can become loaded with dirt or debris which creates extra weight. With the JConcepts over-tray these worries are minimized with the simple and functional over-tray. Fitting nicely under the body it hugs the outside dimension of the SC10 4×4 chassis protecting the inside from unwanted excess dirt and debris build-up during racing conditions. The over-tray is built with extra height and rake to provide extra room for various electrical and battery configurations, while the back-side of the lovers can be cut out for air to escape.
