Coming soon from Kyosho are lightweight differential cross shafts for the MP9 series of buggies. Made from 7075 Duraluminium and sporting a hard-anodised surface for wear the parts scrub about 1.4g per piece meaning that up to 8.4g of weight can be saved when decking out all three diffs of a vehicle. The shafts come in sets of two – without the gears visible in above image – and they will hit stores soon.

Italian company Bittydesign have introduced their new Force bodyshell for the Kyosho MP9 TKI4 buggy. Developed in cooperation with Kyosho team drivers the body sports a cab forward design, large side flaps for downforce and improved traction and the overall design also optimises the airflow towards the rear wing. The body is made from genuine 1mm Lexan material and it comes clear, including window masks and a decal sheet. Also available and sold separately are optional mud guards to protect the rear driveshafts and wishbones from collection too much dirt. Like the body, the mud guards come made from clear polycarbonate.
Kyosho America have introduced the third version of the MR-03VE Pro, the GP Limited. The car features the ultra-fast MHS2.4GHz system that delivers a response speed 16-times faster than the existing ASF2.4GHz and KT18 transmitter combination and 4-times faster than the ASF2.4GHz system and KO Propo EX-1 transmitter combination. Equipped with the newly developed Xspeed VE PRO brushless motor that incorporates a one-piece aluminium case and heatsink, this dynamic 12000KV specification motor is kept cool to extract maximum performance to produce the fastest speeds in Mini-Z history. Additional features include the previously optional MML aluminium motor mount to lower the centre of gravity and enhance heat dissipation even further, MML roll shock that increases setting flexibility, and ball diff for improved cornering and running performance. Previously optional parts included as standard in the GP Limited are anodised in a special colour.

Coming from Exotek and made for Kyosho’s Lazer ZX-6.6 4WD buggy is the heavy duty steering set. The fully 7075 alloy set included steering bellcranks, a steering rack and small parts and its design is based off of Exotek’s popular D413 steering. The improved construction removes all of the plastic parts and bushings and adds four ball bearings and two crush shims for long wearing, smooth and precise operation. The kit includes two steel TiNi-coated bearing screws, four ball bearings, two crush shims, two alloy cranks, an alloy steering rack and two alloy steering post spacers while making use of the stock ZX-6.6 posts and post bearings. The design matches the stock geometry and also allows mounting of the servo on either side of the chassis.
Made for Kyosho’s MP9 TKI3 and TKI4 buggies is T-Works’s new carbon fibre AMB transponder mount. The part is cut from high-quality material and it fits right into the buggy’s radio plate assembly, making for low weight, good stability and improved looks. The plate is usable with all AMB-pattern transponders.
The team signings and departures are coming thick and fast with the announcement by Kyosho Europe that Jerome Aigoin has left their team. Following 10 years together in which they won the very competitive French Nationals 3 times in a row between 2012 and 2014 as well as finishing runner up at the 2011 Euros, the time has come for the two parties to go their separate ways. JConcepts’s popular 2WD buggy lower front wing series is now available for all popular 1/10th 2WD buggies on the market. The range includes sets for the Team Associated B5/B5M, B6/B6D, TLR 22 3.0, Yokomo YZ2, as well as the Xray XB2 and Kyosho RB6.6. All include tailor-designed front wing mounts made from injection-moulded and durable material as well as a V-angle front wing. The wing mount itself attaches with supplied hardware to the top deck on TLR, Yokomo, Xray and Kyosho vehicles while the Team Associated versions mount directly to the front shock tower. Cut lines are included for easy trimming while dimples are located on the wing itself to indicate where to mount to the front wing mount.
