Matrix touring car bodyshell – Teaser

Matrix Racing Tires have released a first teaser of their forthcoming touring car bodyshell. No detailed information are available yet but judging from the image it appears to be a 190mm electric TC body with the front rubber tyre lurking under the black towel while the overall appearance of the front section also screams “electric”. More information and images will become available soon.

John Ermen renews with Matrix

Matrix have announced that Former Dutch Champion and 2014 ENS race winner John Ermen will continue with the Italian company for 2015. A driver with more than 20 years of experience, his contribution is very important to the team both in terms of racing and product development. The newly signed ARC team driver will be racing this year’s ENS as well as the Benelux Cup, the German Nationals and the EFRA Euros.

JJ Wang joins Matrix Racing Tires

Matrix Racing Tires confirm the signing of Chinese/American top driver JJ Wang to their 2015 factory team. Racing for Mugen and Novarossi in Nitro 1/8th scale and 1/10th scale classes, the 17-years old is a former Chinese National Champion in both classes and he is backed by a successful 2014 season when he managed to bring home a top 5 finish at the 200mm Worlds in Thailand and a very respectable 15th place at the 1/10th Electric Touring Car Worlds held in Florida.

Silvio Hächler renews with Matrix

Matrix has announced the re-signing of former Swiss Champion Silvio Hächler for the 2015 season. The World and European Championship finalist, ENS A-main finalist and EFRA GP winner will focus on the 1/8th scale class as a preparation for this year’s World Championship, and with his Matrix-shod Mugen he will run the full ENS season, the Swiss Championship and the EFRA Euros. Silvio will be Matrix’ key figure for Switzerland, so do not hesitate to contact him in case you need any tyre advice.

Matrix electric touring car rubber tyres

Matrix have a new line of touring car rubber tyres available for both carpet and asphalt racing. The carpet-specific tyre is available in 28 shore and 32 shore hardness while the asphalt tyre come in harder 34, 36 or 40 shore rubber. All tyres are available pre-glued on white disc rims and they are built using moulded double hardness inserts while the shore hardness is printed on the outside of the rim for easy identification.

Matrix EP touring car carpet tyres

After two years of development Matrix introduce a new line of carpet touring car tyres. Carpet specific compounds will make for very high grip in combination with high durability that allows to do more than 30 runs on a set of tyres without problems. The tyres are glued on a fully automatic line to ensure reliable bonding and a high quality standard. Beside the carpet line of tyres Matrix will soon also have asphalt-specific pre-mounts available.

Matrix R18 Evo & R10 Evo nitro on-road bodyshells

Matrix introduce two new nitro on-road bodyshells in the form of the R18 Evo 3.0 1/8th and R10 Evo 2.0 1/10th 200mm. Both bodies are EFRA legal and they underwent extensive testing to offer increased steering response while retaining exceptional corner speed and straight-line stability. The bodies are available as pre-cut versions also and include window masks, the 1/8th body comes including side reinforcements and the 200mm body includes a decal sheet for the headlights and grille.

Updated Matrix 1/8 buggy tyres

Matrix introduce their updated line of 1/8 buggy tyres. Long-term tested they provide more traction, improved side bite and increased corner speed. The new range will come pre-glued using closed cell inserts and will be available in a soft and super soft compound.
