MIBO Drift King LiPo

New from MIBO is this RC drifting specific lipo battery, the Drift King Shorty HV LiPo. This is high-performance battery is designed for use in remote control cars but in particular for drifting. With a capacity of 4000mAh, this battery provides a long run time and can handle high discharge rates of up to 130C continuous and 260C burst. The 7.6V voltage rating allows for efficient power transfer to the motor, while the 2S configuration is a standard for most electronic setups and provides a good balance between power and weight. The HV (high voltage) designation means that this battery can be charged up to 4.35V per cell, which results in increased power output and speed. The shorty form factor and low thickness of this battery are ideal for fitting into most current competition chassis and optimising weight distribution for better handling and maneuverability.

Inaugural MIBO International is GO!

1 Race, 2 Tracks, almost 250 entries, and tons of action – the inaugural MIBO International Race is GO with drivers easing themselves into the busy weekend schedule with an evening of free practice in Hrotovice, Czech Republic. The central double sided drivers stand has had a constant flow of both onroad and offroad drivers since the 17:00 start, all eager to dial in their cars ahead of the five rounds of qualifying, four of which make up Saturday’s schedule. In touring car a lap is running at 13-seconds while over on the the buggy track quick laps are running in the late 17-seconds for 4WD and mid 18-seconds for 2WD.

Mibo International Race – Preview

This weekend the small town of Hrotovice in the Czech Republic will play host to the inaugural MIBO International Race, a race that is a long time dream of international touring car racer Michal Bok. While the venue has been visited by some of the best drivers in the world as Bok hosted rounds of both the ETS and EOS in years passed, this weekend he brings both classes together as a follow on to his hugely successful pre pandemic Mibo Cup Series. Two tracks under one roof with onroad and offroad action taking place side by side, the first edition of what is planned to be a major annual event on the European race calendar kicks off on Friday evening with practice. In touring car Mugen’s Ronald Volker and Yokomo’s Christopher Krapp lead the entry while Offroad is headed by Xray’s Bruno Coelho. The World Champion makes the switch to buggy after a very successful start to 2023 in Touring Car that includes victory at the legendary TITC in Bangkok last weekend. With 240 entries reflecting the competence racers have in Bok’s Mibosport race organisation’s ability to put on quality events, there is set to be plenty of exciting race action right across the classes.

MIBO International Race onroad track layout

The organisers of next month’s brand new MIBO International Race in the Czech Republic has released the track layout on which the titles of inaugural Champions will be decided over the two and half day event that runs from March 3-5th. Featuring a 30 metre long straight, the track is 19 metres deep and is the creation of touring car racer Enrico Jung with input from man behind this event Michal Bok. A follow on from the very popular pre-pandemic Mibosport Cup held at the Sports V Hotel venue in Hrotovice, the first running of the MIBO International Race has already attracted an entry of more than 200 that includes star international drivers such as Mugen’s Ronald Volker, Yokomo’s Christopher Krapp and Xray’s Bruno Coelho.

Xray enter Coelho for inaugural MIBO International Race

Xray has confirmed that it will be sending Bruno Coelho to the inaugural MIBO International Race in the Czech Republic. The exciting new indoor event on March 3-5th, will feature both onroad and offroad racing action with Coelho set to focus his attentions on the Offroad competition. Kicking off his 2023 season with victory at the annual GP3F in France last weekend, the reigning Touring Car World Champion will use the event to work alongside Xray’s offroad designer Martin Bayer as the duo begin preparations for what is a big year for 1:10 Offroad. In September, the two time 4WD Buggy World Champion will travel to the US to contest the IFMAR 1:10 Offroad World Championship with one of Bayer’s creations. Xray will also be officially represented at the MIBO International in onroad with Martin Hudy, who is responsible for Xray’s onroad car design, contesting the Modified Touring Car class at the inaugural Michal Bok created event.

MIBO International Race – Schedule & Classes

Following on from the recent announcement of the new MIBO International Race that will take place in the Czech Republic on March 3-5, details of the race weekend schedule and the classes have been published. The international indoor event will bring together both offroad and onroad as it presents two separate tracks at the Sport V Hotel in Hrotovice. A venue that always proved hugely popular with racers for the sheer convenience of being able to race, eat and sleep all under one roof. the Mibo International Race is also node to the past when individual international race weekends were once common and made up the indoor season. Onroad, the racing action will cater for Modified, 13.5 Stock & FWD Touring cars plus Formula. Offroad will cater for 2WD and 4WD Buggy as well an open class of ‘Offroad Kids’ that will give the future stars of racing an opportunity to be a part of this international event.

New MIBO International Race announced

Mibosport is excited to announce that it is bringing a new international indoor event to the calendar in 2023 with the inaugural running of the Mibo International Race on March 3-5 in the Czech Republic. Pre pandemic, the Mibosport Cup was well established as one of Europe’s top annual indoor race series attracting some of the biggest names in racing to the town of Hrotovice. Now following the series’ forced break, Mibosport is looking to bring back the racing in style to the Sport V Hotel with the creation of one big exciting weekend for both onroad and offroad racers. A venue that always proved hugely popular with racers for the sheer convenience of being able to race, eat and sleep all under one roof, the Mibo International Race is also node to the past when individual international race weekends were once common and made up the indoor season. The Mibo International Race will see separate onroad and offroad tracks provide two stages for a full weekend of racing action. Set to be a who’s who of electric racing scene, the story of the inaugural event is set to be shared with the world as it unfolds with Red RC confirming they will make a return visit to Hrotovice. As someone who still enjoys racing himself, Mibosport founder Michal Bok and his race crew are finalising a number of exciting plans for the event, details of which be announced over the coming weeks.
