Mugen MRX & MTX muffler stopper

Mugen have introduced their new muffler stopper for their MRX and MTX series of nitro on-road cars. The machined aluminium stopper will make for additional fixing of the exhaust pipe, ensuring the pipe will not come off during a run. The stopper is usable with most on-road exhaust pipes and it includes a grub screw.

Mugen MTX7 O.S. 12TG clutch spring

Coming from Mugen and made for the MTX7 1/10th 200mm nitro touring car is a clutch spring specially developed for the use with O.S. TG12 engines. Softer than the standard kit spring the new TG12 specific variant will allow for a smooth and reliable clutch engagement when using O.S. Engine’s popular TG12 sports line engine. The spring is a direct fit and it will hit stores this March.

Mugen MBX8 series suspension refresh kit

Mugen have introduced their new suspension refresh kit for the MBX8 series of nitro and electric buggies. The kit allows racers to refresh the high stress suspension components and upgrade to the optional carbon fibre arm stiffeners that come in handy when racing on high-bite surfaces or in high ambient temperatures. The MBX8/8E buggy refresh kit includes E2132 front upper suspension arms, E2144 front lower suspension arm, E2145 rear suspension arms, E2146 inline front uprights, E2154 carbon fibre front arm stiffeners and E2156 carbon fibre rear arm stiffeners.

Joni & Will Skidmore sign with Mugen

Mugen Seiki Europe have announced the signing of Joni and Will Skidmore to their team. The two will campaign Mugen’s MBX8 platform at all major 1/8th off-road races across the UK and Europe and Mugen are happy to have the two onboard for this season.

The precision-cut rotors are of a vented design for less fading even during long and gruelling mains and they are available in a variant for the Agama A319 and also as a universal offering for vehicles such as the Mugen MBX, Serpent Cobra, Xray XB8 and HongNor X3.

Mugen MBX8T series suspension refresh kit

Made for Mugen’s MBX8T series of nitro and electric truggies is a suspension refresh kit. The set allows racers to refurbish the high stress suspension components and upgrade to the optional carbon fibre arm stiffeners with a single part number. The M1016 MBX8T/E Truggy Refresh Kit includes E2146 inline front uprights, E2161 lower front arms, E2164 upper front arms, E2162 lower rear arms, E2166 optional carbon fibre front arm stiffeners, and E2167 optional carbon fibre rear arm stiffeners.

Rickside Design 1/8 buggy front wing & wing drill jig

Coming from Japanese brand Rickside Design are an add-on front wing for many 1/8th scale buggies as well as a wing drill jig. Starting with the front wing, the 3-D-printed part is made of high-grade nylon material for exceptional durability even when the going gets tough. The wing was designed as a direct bolt-on to the front gearboxes of the latest Mugen, HB Racing and Team Associated buggies and it features three pre-marked mounting holes that can be easily drilled for a perfect fit.

Mugen MRX6X 1/8th nitro on-road kit

Coming soon from Mugen is their new MRX6X 1/8th scale nitro on-road kit. The MRX6X is inspired and based off the products used by Mugen Seiki driver, Shoki Takahata, to capture the 2019 IFMAR 1/8th On-Road World Championship title. The new features help to improve steering, rear traction, drive train efficiency, and drivability. First up is a new front suspension geometry. Updated front uprights and aluminium bearing holders give more overall steering and offer a more precise steering feel. The shape of the upper front arm also changed to accommodate the current bodies on the market. The new front shock tower and lower shock mounts sport a new geometry that increases steering in the middle to the exit of the turn. Another new part are also updated front drive shaft that allow increase steering angles and more overall steering and they are equipped with new front wheel levers while updated rear rear wheel levers are also standard equipment on the MRX6X and allow easier installing/removing of the wheels. Also new is an updated rear suspension geometry. The new rear upper A-arms and rear upper arm plate help improve rear traction. The drivetrain now utilises 0.8M pinion and spur gears that will increase drive train efficiency for increased acceleration and runtime. Also new is an updated roll bar for easier refuelling. This will allow quicker pit stops.
