Mugen Seiki welcome Carsten Keller

Mugen Seiki Europe have announced the addition of Germany’s Carsten Keller to their team. The multi national champion will campaign Mugen’s MBX7R nitro and electric buggies at all major national and international events.

JConcepts Finnisher MBX-7TR body & XB2 gear shield

JConcepts have introduced the Finnisher body shell for the Mugen MBX-7TR as well as a 3-D-printed gear shield for laydown transmission equipped Xray XB2 buggies. Starting with the body, the popular and ROAR nationals winning Finnisher design is now also available for Mugen’s MBX-7TR truck. The slight cab forward design with a raked windshield makes the truck stand out as does the large centre fin which adds stability at high speeds. The Finnisher has a built-in air escape passage on the roof which allows the customer to fine-tune the body for maximum performance the included champion rear name plates provide additional high-speed stability and improved positioning of the rear bed rails to strengthen the assembly. Overall handling has been improved by balancing the bias between the cab location and rear wing placement which control the majority of the aero affects of the aggressively styled body.

JConcepts MBX7R/RC8B3 front scoop

Coming from JConcepts and made for the Mugen MBX7R and Team Associated RC8B3 is the front scoop. Introduced at the 2016 IFMAR World Championships in Las Vegas, the front scoop replaces the front nose-cone on the vehicle with a front wing design that has shown to produce enhanced steering characteristics. The scoop can be painted, left clear or frosted for the desired look, fit and finish and the set includes two pieces per package so a driver has enough to outfit their nitro and E-buggy with the same package.

T-Works MTX-5/6 hard-coated aluminium pivot balls

T-Works have introduced several sets of aluminium pivot balls for Mugen’s MTX-6 and MTX-5 series of cars. Available are 6mm anti-roll bar pivot balls, as well as flanged 5mm, 6mm and 7mm variants with internal hexes for easy assembly. The ball ends are available as pairs and also as a complete 26-piece set, fitting the MTX-6R, MTX-6 and MTX-5. All parts are machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium and they come hard-anodised for wear.

ProStar Wing Arms for AE, Mugen & SWorkz buggies

Coming from ProStar R/C and available for many 1/8th buggies with pivot ball front suspension are the front Wing Arms. The unique front upper arms are designed to match the buggy’s stock geometry but they can utilise a 3-D-printed wing element to improve downforce on large high-speed tracks. The front arms are made using a strong and durable carbon nylon mix and the sets are available for the Mugen MBX7, RC8B3 and SWorkz S35 buggies. Custom colours are available to match the front wings with the body’s paintjob.

Mugen Seiki Europe welcomes Marco Natale

Mugen Seiki Europe has announced the signing of Marco Natale to their international racing team. The Italian ace will use the MBX7R Nitro and Eco  buggies during his forthcoming campaign that will include appearances at the Italian nationals and at major international events. Syoki Takahata teams up with Mugen

Mugen Seiki have announced the signing of Japanese National Champion, Syoki Takahata to their factory nitro on-road team. The former KM Racing driver will campaign Mugen’s MRX6 and MTX6R kits in the upcoming season that will see appearances at the national championship and also at the IFMAR 1/8th On-road Worlds in France.

Mugen MBX7-series high-traction differential sets

Mugen Seiki have announced the soon release of four new gear differential sets for the MBX7 series of off-road and on-road cars. They come in three different front and rear diff gear sizes of 42T or 44T for the MBX7R and MGT7, as 46T set for the front and rear of the MBX7TR and also as 46T centre diff for the nitro buggy and truggy. All utilise updated 10T/20T internal gears that make for higher internal friction which can lead to improved traction while allowing the use of softer diff oils at the same time for better steering and bump track handling. All sets will become available by mid/end of January.
