Bittydesign Force body for Mugen MBX7

Bittydesign Force body for Mugen MBX7

Bittydesign have released their new Force body for the Mugen MBX7. The body has been developed and tested with the collaboration of 2012 IFMAR World Champion Robert Batlle. Having made its debut 2 weeks ago in France at the GP Montpellier, the feedback they have received back from the Spanish driver has been very positive. Designed to obtain the best balance, the result is a cab forward body style in addition to a reverse side scoop on the back which generates high downforce giving the car a nimble feeling while at the same time more stability. As usual the body is produced using 1mm original Lexan polycarbonate and it comes complete with protection film, decal sheet and windows mask. BD also produce rear mud guards for the same car to complete the factory look.

JConcepts MBX7 Silencer body shell

JConcepts MBX7 Silencer body shell

New from JConcepts comes the Silencer body shell for the Mugen MBX7 buggy. Intended especially for high speed tracks such as the one found at the 2012 IFMAR World Championship in Buenos Aires, the body was designed from the ground up and features a narrowed, Finisher stance cockpit for better fuel tank access, a smoother high-speed transition and increased flow around the engine heat-sink. A deep recess around the heat-sink area with dual channeling out the rear provides air escape along with rear-end stability. The Silencer side-pods have a clipped rear-end, narrowing the rear by angling just in front of the rear tires. The extended runner features are placed on the rear-end of the body enhancing the force placed on the rear pods during high-speed acceleration. The main pods are heavily chamfered and a more heat-shrink design over the pipe, fuel tank and electrical/linkage make up the main pods. The body comes clear, including window masks and decal sheet.

Mugen MBX7 1/8 Nitro Offroad buggy

Mugen Seiki have announced the release of the MBX7 1/8 Nitro Offroad buggy. The Mugen design team had a goal to increase corner speed, increase traction, low the center of gravity and to lighten up the whole drive train and the end result is the MBX7. Mugen concentrated on creating a buggy that would carry natural corner speed with newly designed front upper/lower suspension, The rear suspension was designed to create more traction and smooth action through bumps, jumps and whatever else the buggy attacks with shorter rear suspension arms, fully adjustable anti-squat and toe in bushings. New front shocks and shock springs control the suspension on the front of the buggy while newly designed shock angles keep the rear suspension hooked up to the surface.

Pure Hobby MTX-5 EP conversion

While here in Bangkok, Pure Hobby Distribution have shown us their all new brushless conversion set for the Mugen MTX-5. Designed by World Champion Robert Pietsch it allows the owner of a MTX-5 chassis an inexpensive way to test indoors during the winter season. Utilizing many parts from the gas car, the kit will include less than 20 parts to complete the conversion meaning you can use the same spares as those on your gas car as well as your old foam tires that are too small for gas racing, but which are perfect for indoor racing on carpet. The car will use a standard 540 type motor and is recommended to be used with a 3S 11.1V battery for maximum power. All together the car weighs in at 1500 grams. Available in the net two weeks through Pure’s distribution network, if popular they will broaden its release.
