After seeing versions from many after market companies Mugen Seiki now introduce their own steering upper plate for the use with the MBX7 buggy. The part is machined from 3mm high quality carbon fibre to increase stability and durability and comes including mounting hardware and the necessary shims for the steering posts.

Power-Save-Racing introduce their OT1 low-friction ball bearing sets for many of today’s 1/8th off-road buggies. Available for the 8ight 2.0/3.0, RC8, MBX6/7, MP9 TKI2/3, RB One R and XB9 the sets include RS and ZZ shielded bearings with the RS ball races are used in very exposed areas whereas the low friction ZZ shielded bearings are used in protected parts of the chassis. The result is a drivetrain with less friction compared to a car running all-rubber sealed bearings.

FTW have released their latest Phoenix shell for the MBX6T. Every different make of chassis is evaluated during the body design process in order to achieve performance beyond the acceptable. To reduce the tendency for body disintegration caused by the recessed front body mount location of the MBX6T, this Phoenix version is equipped with a kit that raises the front body mounts, allowing for a sleek and smooth hood area. The kit is comprised of a beefy .93″ thick polycarbonate bracket and all necessary hardware. Installation is quick and eliminates the weak spots that plague other body options for the MBX6T. Formed from premium grade clear .040” polycarbonate sheet it comes with a clear protective outer film.

Pro-Line introduce a new Bulldog body shell for the World Championship winning Mugen MBX-7 buggy as well as colour variants of the pre-painted Flo-Tek short course body. Starting with the MBX-7, the Bulldog Gen 3 clear body shell features a larger and higher swoop on the front side panels for more front down-force. The rear section of the roof has been angled off for a new look and to allow more air to get to the cooling fins on the motor. The Gen 3 body also has a raised rear section behind the motor to increase the balance of traction front to rear for more traction on any surface. The body come clear, including window masks and decal sheet. Also new are three colour variants of Pro-Line’s recently introduced pre-painted Flo-Tek SC body. The hand-painted body soon is available as blue, red and yellow variant and the body is compatible with many of today’s 1/10th short course chassis.

Mugen have released the MRX-5 WC-Spec version, which is the World Championship winning chassis with a number of optionals and revised parts included as standard. The kit comes with a high traction chassis, rear body mount hard, rear lower arm mount A & B, revised front suspension arms, left and right upper bulkhead as well as the lower front bulkhead. A revised front bumper, front body mount plate, rear body mount hard and the latest clutch set are also included.

More new items from Tourex who have released this 2-piece engine mount for the MBX7 from Mugen. The set consists of lower mounting blocks which are screwed onto the chassis and the two upper parts which can be screwed to the motor housing and are not removed. Pins which sit on the upper blocks aid the fixing and alignment of the engine in the buggy meaning you can quickly and easily remove and re install the engine without the need to realign the motor. PSM Racing have released some new parts for the Mugen MBX7. First up are these CVD Axles which are made of high grade 7075-T6 aluminium to reduce the drivetrain’s rotating mass. Weighing only 26g in total, this set is super lightweight and very durable. Also new is a complete set of aluminium turnbuckles made from the same lightweight material. They are a strong and super light replacement for your original steel turnbuckles and weighing only 8.6g is a good way to lower the center of gravity of your buggy.
