Mugen Seiki signs Lee Martin

Mugen Seiki Europe have announced Lee Martin as a new member of their race team. Having driven for Tamiya USA previously Lee will strengthen the MSE team, coordinated through John Yves Ferte, around fellow UK driver Simon Willets and European Champion Robert Battle. The multiple electric European Champion will continue to race electric offroad as part of the factory TRF team. Stefan Habbecke, president of MSE had this to say:

I am really happy to have Lee on board. He will be an important part to achieve a strong further development of our international race team. I am looking forward to collect many new feedback for our future products and customers everywhere.

Mugen update MTX-5 kit

Mugen have announced an updated MTX-5 kit which will come supplied with additional optional parts as standard. Included in the kit now is machined aluminium front and rear upper bulkheads, as well as a steel pins and gears for the front and rear gear diffs. Other new parts include an updated rear upper arm mount plate, a steel clutch spring cup and a new brake disc adapter. The updated kit will go on sale in late January.

More new Mugen MTX5 option parts from KM Racing starting with this aluminium servo saver set. CNC machined from high quality aluminium and anodised grey, this replacement part is much stronger and more durable than the original plastic version. Also new are a 2mm carbon fibre top deck and 2.5mm carbon fibre front body plate that helps stabilise the shell while making the mounting more secure in the event of an accident.

KM H-K1 ball cups & MTX-5 carbon options

KM Racing have released a number of new items for their own H-K1 and the Mugen MTX-5. For the H-K1 there is a new set of aluminium ball cups which are stronger and more durable than the originals and wont slip. A set includes 4 pairs of aluminium ball cups and plastic cup inserts. For the MTX-5 there is a carbon brake arm set and carbon radio box plate set, both are lightweight and durable and are made using aluminium mounts.

Capricorn MTX-5 CVD shafts

Capricorn have released a pair of CVD shafts for the Mugen MTX-5. These lightweight shafts are suitable for the front and rear of the car and help reduce the overall weight by 12 grams. Supplied with all the parts necessary to mount them to the wheel axle.
