O.S. Engines EFRA2165 on-road exhaust system

Coming from O.S. Engines is their new EFRA2165 exhaust pipe set for 1/8th on-road applications. It includes the newly developed TR02 tuned pipe for higher torque and the MR02 manifold which improves exhaust gas flow in the low to mid-RPM range which in combination makes for an exhaust system that improves engine performance in the low to mid range which can be a hot ticket on high-grip tracks or on technical layouts where exceptional acceleration is needed. Included in the set come mounting springs and a high-quality silicone gasket.

Mugen MTX7 O.S. 12TG clutch spring

Coming from Mugen and made for the MTX7 1/10th 200mm nitro touring car is a clutch spring specially developed for the use with O.S. TG12 engines. Softer than the standard kit spring the new TG12 specific variant will allow for a smooth and reliable clutch engagement when using O.S. Engine’s popular TG12 sports line engine. The spring is a direct fit and it will hit stores this March.

Simon Kurzbuch signs with O.S. Engines

Following his recent departure from long-term engine sponsors Novarossi Simon Kurzbuch has announced his new partnership with O.S. Engines from Japan. The former IFMAR World Champion will power his Shepherd rides using O.S. power plants this season and he has the following to say about the deal:

Here is it, my engine sponsor for 2020 season will be OS Speed! Im really happy to join the OS team. The brand & engines have shown a great performance during the last years and I’m proud for the trust and the to be a part of that. First race will be the Trofeo Pepe in Fiorano – hopefully see as many as possible of you there!

Hasi Tuned rear engine backplate & pressure chamber

Coming from Hasi Tuned is a new rear engine backplate for O.S. based .21 engines as well as a pressure chamber set. Starting with the backplate, the part offers reduced friction while improving mixture flow inside the engine thanks to a unique shape, resulting in improved torque in the bottom to mid RPM range. The backplate comes in a natural silver colour with engraved Hasi Tuned logo. Also new is a pressure chamber set machined from aluminium and sporting a black surface coating and a laser-etched logo. The pressure chamber will be fitted into the pressure line between the exhaust and the fuel tank cap, improving overall performance and idling of nitro engines.

O.S. Speed R2104 World Champion .21 on-road engine

O.S. Engines have announced the soon release of their new O.S. Speed R2104 World Champion edition 3.5cc nitro on-road engine. The power plant will be issued to celebrate Shoki Takahata’s 2019 IFMAR 1/8th Nitro On-road World Championship title, which was also a maiden Worlds win for an O.S. Speed engine in the 1/8th IC Track category. The team went 1-2 in the main final with Takaaki Shimo taking the vice championship and to commemorate their effort, the World Championship edition will feature a gold-colour venturi insert , a two-tone black and golden cooling head as well as a laser-etched crankcase. Included in the special edition is also a T-2080SC based exhaust set. The engine will hit stores by the end of December.

O.S R2104 Hasi Tuned 3.5cc nitro on-road engine

Coming from the Hasi Tuned brand of multi-time World Championship finalist, Silvio Hächler is a new O.S. R2104 based nitro on-road engine. The power plant is made to the exact same specifications as Silvio’s race engines and professionally tuned, offering a differently timed crankshaft, a modified case and sleeve. The specifications aim to increase end speed on large tracks, giving extra power over the whole RPM range. The easily recognisable engines come with a modified cooling head and they are pre-run-in in order to offer instant and exceptional performance on the track. The 9-port engine includes a hard-coated pipe and a MR02 manifold and it is available worldwide here and in Switzerland it can also be ordered directly by contacting Silvio.

Ielasi Tuned competition conrods – Coming soon

Ielasi Tuned have released first information on their all-new competition conrods for Novarossi and OS-based engines. Machined from high-quality titanium and using highest quality self-lubricating bushing material, the conrods will greatly increase the engine performance while offering exceptional durability of all parts involved, including the conrod itself and the connection pin. The conrods will become available from mid-November in two variants for almost all .21 Novarossi and almost all .21 O.S. Engines.

O.S. Speed B21 Adam Drake Edition 2 nitro engine

On show during this week’s All Japan Hobby Show in Japan is the forthcoming new O.S. Speed B21 Adam Drake Edition 2 nitro engine for 1/8th off-road buggies and trucks. The Edition 2 is understood to build on the previous engine, however it features further improvement and refinements. Full details will become available soon.
