Pro-Line’s newest addition to their 1/8th buggy tire arsenal is the Recoil. Set to debut at this weekend’s Nitro Challenge, its unique ‘Hexagonal’ base provides foundational stability while a touch of subtle siping provides the perfect balance of flexibility. Pro-Line have released two new items, the first being the chassis saver for the Traxxas Slash. During track testing of the ProTrac kit for Slash, it became clear to the Pro-Line development team that the the short course truck’s chassis had a weakness resulting in numerous broken chassis and shortened track sessions. To resolve the issue they created this chassis saver set, which strengthens the rear shock tower mounting ears. The second new item from Pro-Line is the 1:10 Caliber 2.2″ truck tires. The Caliber takes tire technology to the next level by optimizing traction, control, balance, and tire wear with its dual-stage design. The smaller top pin penetrates through loose dirt while delivering unbelievable side and forward bite. The base pin works as a support for the top pin while acting as a dual-stage design once the top pin is worn down. You can rely on the base pin for greater tread life wear and it works well on those tracks that are prone to blue-groove or have a super clean surface.
Judging by their January releases Pro-Line have been busy with a whole host of new bodies, tires and wheels being announced. Starting with the new Chevy Silverado Short course truck body, perfect for Chevy race fans to deck out their Slash or SC10 chassis’. Also for the same SC cars, is this 14RS shell, which resembles more a Dakar style race truck than your traditional Short course race truck. Both bodies are sold clear and supplied with window mask and decal sheets. Bringing colour to your racing, PL now offer their range of Split six wheels in 2 additional colours, white and yellow, in addition to the already available black versions. To follow up on the release of their Suburbs pattern for rear tires mid last year, you can now get the same pattern for us on the front of your 4wd buggy. Available in M3, MX and MC compounds. To final releases from Pro Line are their new Volkswagen Baja bug body for the 1/16th E-Revo and the Chevy Blazer for 1/18th crawlers.

Pro Line Racing have made the announcement that after twelve great years at the company, Scott Hughes has decided to move onto a new opportunity within the RC industry. “We hold many fond memories and appreciate his contributions to our innovative team at Pro-Line. Pro-Line have introduced some new hardware for the Traxxas Slash starting with this ProTrac suspension kit. This single easy to install kit greatly increases forward acceleration, corner speed, consistency and drivability and is supplied with new front and rear arms, front and rear shock towers, rear hub carriers, ProTrac Split six wheels and camber & steering links. Also new for the Slash is the PowerStroke shocks that enhance the overall performance of the car by offering true dual stage spring rate and infinite spring pre load adjustments. Coming pre assembled, they feature an aluminium body and shock cap together with beefy 3.5mm shock shafts, another great upgrade for your Slash.

Following on Pro-Line’s previous releases of the Bull Dog truggy shell for the Associated RC8T, Hot Bodies D8T and Mugen MBX-6T, comes a version for the Losi 8ight-T 2.0. Made from Genuine GE .060 lexan, its bull nose front end increases corner speed, while the elongated bed increases air flow to the wing. Overall down force has been greatly improved over traditional 1:8 truck bodies with the engine head exposed for easy temp checks and igniter accessibility. Paint then peel overspray film, sticker sheet, and window masks included.
