Protoform today released a teaser image of an upcoming sports car body for the Vintage TransAm class. By the looks of things the body resembles a second generation Pontiac Firebird but we have no official confirmation yet. More details to follow soon.

Protoform introduce their Pro-TC wing kits for 190mm and 200mm touring car bodyshells. Made from extra-stiff .040 lexan for low deflection under high downforce loads each set includes two wings – one of standard and one of high downforce as well as four endplates. This allows the perfect setup of the body for all racing conditions. The wings meet all IFMAR, BRCA and ROAR body spec standards and come unpainted.

Protoform have introduced the Better Edge System for every r/c enthusiast that takes pride in finishing off their concours worthy race body, these products are for you. The Better Edge sanding drum is their first product in this line. There has never been a product specifically made for r/c racers to finish off the perfect wheel-well. With the use of your handheld rotary tool, the sanding drum will smooth out all of the imperfections left from cutting your lexan body with scissors. At 1.5” in diameter, it’s suitable for use on many scales of body: from 1:12 scale on up to 1:8 or even off-road bodies. The drum’s red and black anodized aluminum finish and laser-etched Protoform logos give it a trick look on your pit table and each pre-assembled kit comes with a replaceable high-grade silicon carbide spiral sanding band, rubber anti-slip o-rings and a mandrel made from durable tool steel to prevent damage from your rotary tool’s chuck.

Having shown off a sneak peek of their new GT body 2 weeks ago, Protoform have today released the Gianna GT. Combining exotic, Italian-inspired styling and Protoform’s aerodynamic expertise, the Gianna GT is sure to provide excellent handling for your 200mm World GT pan car. This body features a large front splitter, low drag rear wing, and an overall design that better suits the ultra-low profile foam tires that are so prevalent in the World GT Class. Included is a decal sheet featuring two distinct types of head/tail lamps (suited for light or dark colored paint jobs), window masks and spoiler hardware. It is produced in genuine .030” lexan and meets all ROAR/BRCA World GT specifications.

Protoform got in touch to show us this teaser image of their upcoming Gianna GT World GT body shell. We do not have more information about it other than this rendering but we heard the body will make its first public appearance within the next two weeks.

The body is made to fit all the latest oval pan-car chassis designs and features multiple molded in trim lines in order to meet TOUR body height specifications for capped tire racing, foam tire racing as well as the ultra-slammed Saturday night “run what ya brung” style of racing. The T-HD is a high downforce design specifically shaped for the multitude of flat tracks. The included decal sheet gives you a choice of four sets of headlights and four different grill layouts.
