RB Products have signed French racer Michael Derderian to use their engines for 2009. The former Serpent and Mega racer, and 5th place finisher at last year’s European B Championships, will use the latest .12 motor from the French manufacturer to power his Xray NT1. Michael had the following to say about the deal:
To me it was very clear, there was absolutely no doubt. RB engines dominated the A and B French championship this year, won the title in both categories and made numerous pole positions. Cherry on the cake: these engines have a very low fuel consumption and are also very easy to tune. As for the RB SpeedLine tires, I know them perfectly, I wouldn’t change for anything in the world.

Having recently confirmed his move from Kyosho to Mugen for 2009, current German 1/8th scale buggy and truggy National Champion Tim Bremicker has officially joined the international RB Team. Tim raced with RB last season for the RMV Team and his move to the factory team carries forward this successful combination into the new season.

RB Engines have confirmed that Spanish Hobao driver Borja Hernandez, a World finalist and 2 time podium finisher at the European Championship, has joined their international team. The former GRP driver, Borja chose RB engines as he believes it will help increase his perfomances and results for 2009 season.

RB have announced that young and talented Portuguese driver Carlos Durães has joined their team for 2009. This year saw him win the RB Cup with the best overall time and the Portuguese cup in front of all the best Portuguese drivers. The French engine maker expects that he will be a major player for next years national championship and international races.

As a result, RB decided to launch a special edition for USA only with specific parts increasing performance. This engine was especially developed to meet the needs of US tracks with high power at low RPM allowing you to jump higher and further. Featuring a specific Turbo combustion chamber providing higher RPM, the hand modified crankshaft has been designed to increase power at low RPM and received the RB Concept coating in order to prevent the wear of the pin. Finally, the carburetor is provided with a 8mm venturi.
