Arena RC Racing have announced the release of their new asymmetrical single side upper deck for the Serpent X20 mid-motor touring car. Machined from high-quality 2.0mm carbon fibre the top deck will improve corner speed of the car in various track conditions due to its optimised flex characteristics. The asymmetrical design also makes for easier disassembly.
Serpent have announced the soon release of their new X20 FWD touring car kit. Based on the X20 the front-wheel driven car will utilise the now-popular mid-motor design using a lightweight and strong 1-piece motor mount concept that does away with any interference between the front and rear chassis flex while still allowing centre flex adjustability. The advantage for this design is to allow maximum flex capabilities without impacting the drivetrain, resulting in smoother power delivery, more consistency and less chance of stripping spur gear. Coming soon from Serpent and based off of the SRX2 Gen3 buggy is a specific carpet variant that will include a gear differential as well as front and rear anti-roll bars. Like the Gen3, the carpet-specific kit is made up using 85 percent new parts, however most of the previous parts are still usable with the Gen3 kits. The car utilises a new chassis that features optimised flex characteristics while accepting optional chassis weights, allowing to adjust the overall weight as well as the weight balance for a wide range of track conditions. Updated side pods, that match the chassis and separated bulkhead supports add to the overall construction. With the use of optional carbon fibre side stiffeners the chassis flex can be fine-tuned to suit the driver’s needs.
Coming from Torpine are their new brass screw kits for a range of current on-road touring and FWD cars. The fasteners, intended for the use in the lower areas of the chassis, are precision made from high-quality brass material and due to being heavier than standard steel screws, they help to lower the overall centre of gravity of a car while adding a certain weight. Available are a 52-piece kit for the Xray T4’20, a 39-piece kit for the Xray X1’20, a 59-piece kit for the Awesomatix A800MMX, a 54-piece kit for the Awesomatix A800FX, a 51-piece kit for the Serpent SF4 and a 44-piece kit for the ARC R11F. Also available are 8-piece sets of M3x5mm, M3x10mm and M3x12mm countersunk head screws.

Coming from Leadfinger Racing are the new A2 Tactic body shells for the Yokomo YZ-2 and the Serpent SRX2 Gen3. Like the A2 Tactic bodies before, the bodies have an added roof vent that allows for better cooling for today’s sensitive electronics. Running cooler has its advantages and feeding cool air directly over the power house is a welcomed upgrade. Behind that, LFR has designed a top fin that joins into a rear swoop for added stability and increased rear down force. The combination of the two help give the buggies a balanced and precise feel during mid corner rotation and on power exit. The bodies come including two pre-cut Tactic wings, window masks and stickers and suitable nose scoops are sold separately to further enhance overall steering and performance.
Serpent have announced the soon release of their all-new X20FF front-wheel drive touring car. The kit will be based off of the X20 4WD car, sharing many of its design features. Full details of the car, that utilises the now-popular front-mid motor layout for an overall lower centre of gravity, will become available in time of the release.

Coming from T-Works and made for many popular 1/8th off-road kits are lightweight 30mm brake disks. The precision-cut rotors are of a vented design for less fading even during long and gruelling mains and they are available in a variant for the Agama A319 and also as a universal offering for vehicles such as the Mugen MBX, Serpent Cobra, Xray XB8 and HongNor X3.

Serpent have announced the release of their new SRX8GT clutch set. Using knowledge learnt from their heritage in 1/8th IC Track racing, a single adjustable centre spring eliminates the need for having multiple styles of springs in different specifications at hand, whilst ensuring great durability and reliability. In addition and to change the engagement point, simply add or reduce the pre-tension using the adjusting nut. Included in the kit is an ultra lightweight vented aluminium clutch bell including quality NSK bearings.
