Serpent 988e Taipan 1/8th electric pan car kit

Coming soon from Serpent is the 988e Taipan 1/8th electric pan car kit. The “rigid” pan car chassis features an innovative 2-belt drivetrain, flexible battery configurations and a lightweight overall design for less stress on motor, speed controller and batteries. Other features include easily interchangeable spur gears, adjustable body mount height, 988 steering blocks for leading or trailing axles, adjustable upper arm mounts, adjustable tube angles, front flex adjustments as well as easy ride height adjustments using shims. The car will accept standard 1/8th tyres and bodies and full information will become available in time for the official release that is scheduled for end of August.

Made from high quality US carbon this body support increases rear traction and reduces the risk of body tucks in racing mode. Serpent SRX8 Pro 1/8th nitro buggy

Serpent have introduced their new SRX8 Pro 1/8th scale nitro off-road buggy. Based on the popular SRX8 Evo, the included updates will improve overall traction while offering an easier to drive car. The car received a couple of upgrades staring with redesigned differentials that offer larger internal gears and more volume, ensuring they will not fade or loose performance even in longs main finals. Also in the driveline area the Pro went back to captured centre driveshafts, doing away with the previous doggone system for a rubber-booted construction that is easier to maintain, that lasts longer and offers less friction.

Avid 1/8th scale 1-piece carbon wing button

Coming from Avid is a 1-piece carbon fibre wing button for 1/8th scale off-road kits. The wing button is a nice alternative to the commonly used wing buttons and helps work as a template to mark the holes in new wings. Serpent S120 Pro 1/12th scale pan car kit

Serpent have announced the release of their all-new S120 Pro 1/12th scale competition pan car chassis kit. Building on the proven design features of the F110 SF4 formula car, the S120 Pro makes use of the “link-less” design introduced with the SF4, meaning the designers have junked the usual side links in favour of a bearing-supported linear guide system that allows to brake harder and accelerate earlier while offering greater stability and consistency when braking/accelerating and steering input overlap as the rear pod movement is independent from chassis roll.

RC Carbon Cavalieri 1/8 buggy carbon fibre front scoops

RC Carbon Cavalieri have announced the release of their carbon fibre front scoops for many of today’s 1/8th scale off-road buggies. Made from high-quality carbon fibre the scoops help to adjust the aerodynamic balance during high speeds and jumping with the parts offering increased stability over standard polycarbonate front wings. Jeff Hamon teams up with Serpent

Serpent have announced the addition of multi-times Australian Champion, Jeff Hamon to their factory team. The IFMAR Worlds finalist will campaign Serpent’s Viper 988 and Matrix 750 platforms and he hopes to build on his TQ and 2nd place at the 2019 1/8 IC Track Pre-Worlds when he returns for the main event later this year. Jeff says:

I’m really excited to be working with such a great dynamic team, the innovation and development of Serpent is really impressive! I am looking forward to a successful future with the team.

Serpent sign Yugo Nagashima

Serpent have announced the signing of Japan’s Yugo Nagashima to their electric on-road team. The former Destiny factory driver is specialised in 1/10th Touring and 1/12th scale racing, having won titles in Japan, Canada and Australia and he will campaign Serpent’s full range of electric chassis at all major events around the globe. Yugo already kicked off his new campaign quite successful with a 5th place in the Modified Touring class at the recent South Korea round of the AOC.
