Serpent Project 4X blade-less spool outdrives

Serpent have introduced blade-less spool outdrives for the Project 4X touring car. The parts are machined from super-strong spring steel and their design does away with the usual C-shaped driveshafts blades that can break when using high-power motors or when running on very high-grip surfaces. The outdrive cups are strategically machined for a low weight, they offer reduced play for improved efficiency and consistent cornering and they are also usable on the Eryx 411 line of cars.

Serpent Project 4X shorter carbon roll damper supports

Serpent have released a set of shorter 7mm roll damper supports for the Project 4X touring car. The parts are machined from carbon fibre and due to being slightly shorter they will change the front suspension geometry in a way that they make for a more responsive car in most conditions. Included in the set are two support plates.

Serpent SRX8-E 4mm lightweight aluminium chassis

Serpent have introduced a new 4mm lightweight aluminium chassis for the Cobra SRX8-E buggy. Machined from 7075-T6 alloy material and coming hard-anodised for wear, the chassis received some heavy machining, making it at 294g about 30 percent lighter than the stock chassis. A pocket under the rear differential area allows to use optional steel, aluminium or carbon fibre skid plates. The chassis will become available from early August.

Serpent SDX 2.5mm lightweight aluminium chassis

Serpent have introduced a lightweight 2.5mm aluminium chassis for the SDX4 1/10th 4WD buggy. Machined from thicker-than-standard 2.5mm 7075-T6 material but sporting excessive milling to achieve the same low weight as the 2mm plate, the chassis is also hard-coated for wear while offering less flex than the standard chassis. This leads to a less aggressive and easier to drive buggy especially on high-bite tracks. The chassis will hit stores beginning of August.
