Serpent F110 SF3 1/10th formula car kit

Serpent have introduced the latest incarnation of their successful F110 platform, the SF3. The car is based on a new, black anodised 2.5mm aluminium main chassis plate that sports carbon fibre extensions for the electronics such as receiver and speed controller. The battery is placed in a longitudinal position that, in combination with the slightly backwards mounted electronics, makes for an agile handling and a responsive car. Up front the previous 2-part lower wishbones have been replaced by a single carbon fibre plate. Included with the kit comes with realistic front and rear wings that have been updated by using a more flexible yet stronger composite material. The kit, that does not include body, tyres, gears and electronics, will hit stores very soon.

Serpent S120 LTR 2.5mm CF chassis & lower pod plate

Serpent have introduced a 2.5mm carbon fibre main chassis and lower pod plate for the S120 LTR 1/12th scale pan car. The new chassis is meant to improve high speed steering at corner entry, the car will feel smoother throughout the corner while also carrying more corner speed. Driving feel through chicanes is also improved while rear wheel lift is reduced, making for faster acceleration and a more efficient drive at the expense of slightly harder working rear tyres, which can be overcome by moving the battery forward or using a softer centre shock spring. The chassis and pod plate are available now and they will be a running change for all S120 LTR kits from April on.

Serpent SDX4 roll centre spacer & SDX8 servo arms

Serpent have introduced new optional parts for the SDX4 and SRX8 off-road buggies. Starting with the 1/10th scale part, the roll centre spacer for the SDX4 4WD buggy is machined from aluminium and it is 2mm thick, allowing to raise the gearbox and suspension mounts, resulting in improved traction and steering at the expense of a less easy driving feeling. The part is machined from aluminium, it comes anodised for wear and interlocks with the existing chassis slots. The spacer is usable separately or even as a sandwich of two for an even higher diff and arms position.

Serpent SDX4 centre gear differential

Coming from Serpent and made for the SDX4 1/10th scale4WD buggy is a centre differential set. Same as the front and rear diffs with the exception of the spur gear, the differential features moulded composite internals for a low weight and an interchangeable main gear, that is available in 82T to 88T specifications, for convenient gear ratio changes. Using the centre diff over a slipper clutch will calm down the car’s on-power reactions and the diff set is available now.
