T-Works Serpent titanium upper arm pivot balls

T-Works Serpent titanium upper arm pivot balls

Made for Serpent vehicles such as the Project 4X, F110, S120, 748 and 977 are T-Works’ titanium upper arm pivot balls. The parts are made from high-quality 64-grade titanium and they replace the standard kit pivot balls. Offering a lower weight than steel while being still tough and durable, titanium parts lower the weight of the car while also adding visual impact.

Serpent Project 4X 1/10th 4WD touring car kit

Serpent Project 4X 1/10th 4WD touring car kit

Serpent’s long-awaited Project 4X 1/10th 4WD electric touring car kit is finally ready for release. The revolutionary car that finished third overall in the hands of Serpent’s Viktor Wilck at this year’s IFMAR Electric On-road World Championships utilises many unique features that make for a very low centre of gravity while being easy to work on and reliable at the same time. The car makes use of a new suspension design that allows to adjust chassis roll and pitch independently for increased corner speeds and exceptional bump track handling. Sporting only one heave/pitch damper in the front and rear, the pull-rod actuated units are very small and thus light of weight while their mounting position just above the chassis makes for a low centre of gravity. The heave dampers affect mainly bump and on/off-throttle handling and they are easy to reach from the bottom of the chassis for convenient setup and maintenance tasks. The ride height settings are performed using a simple one-screw setup. The rocker and pull-rod system is ball-raced for highly precise damper action and a low wear.

Serpent 748 V2 gear differentials & belt pulley set

Serpent 748 V2 gear differentials & belt pulley set

Serpent have introduced the new V2 gear differentials and belt pulleys for the World Championship winning 748 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road car. Starting with the differentials, the V2 variant features an improved design with the case offering a greater oil volume for improved consistency during long runs and a new bleeder hole makes building, setup and maintenance much easier. Also part of the package are deeper profile gears with optimised gear fitment and super lightweight spring steel diff axles. On top of this the new diffs, that are available as separate front and rear variants, feature moulded-in steel bushings for additional stability and durability and they must be used with a longer side belt and the new V2 belt pulleys, described below, that offer a larger diameter for improved efficiency and acceleration. The pulley set is available in a black colour standard and white colour low-friction variant.

Serpent 977 big bore shock absorber set

Serpent 977 big bore shock absorber set

Coming from Serpent is the big bore shock absorber set for the Viper 977 1/8th on-road car. A standard feature on the recently introduced Evo-2 kit, the shocks will improve the overall traction and steering of the car while being easy to build, setup and maintain. The precision machined dampers come as pairs and they sport threaded alloy bodies, machined Delrin pistons, coated spring steel piston shafts, pre-oiled X-rings and included are both short and long ball ends to build either a pair of front or rear shock absorbers. Not included are the needed springs but these can be taken from the existing shock sets.

Serpent Viper 977 Evo-2 1/8th scale nitro on-road kit

Serpent Viper 977 Evo-2 1/8th scale kit

Serpent have introduced the latest incarnation of their popular Viper 977 1/8th nitro on-road kit, the Evo-2. The vehicle is an evolution rather than a revolution with the focus set on refined details such as the revised rear suspension to obtain more steering and overall traction. The rear lower pivot pins now sit closer together to create overall longer A-arms thanks to longer pivot balls and upper links. Also included are new big bore shock absorbers taken over from the 411 4.0 and 748-WE kits. The short shocks feature new machined pistons, a new seal package as well as machined spacers and coated aluminium parts along hardened steel piston rods. The rear shocks also feature longer shafts for improved traction. The key features of the 977 remain the same though as are the 2-speed Xli gearbox, fine-pitch gears, ball-raced front and rear anti-roll bars and the aluminium mid-flex system with bearings to name just a few. The 977 Evo-2 will hit the stores by mid-September.
