Coming from Serpent and made for the latest S120-LTR, S100-LTR and F110-SF2 pan cars is an aluminium centre pivot. The machined aluminium part replaces the standard composite pivot, it makes for improved durability and precision while adding cool looks at the same time.
Coming from Serpent are three different main chassis plates for the Eryx 4.0 touring car. First up is a 2.0mm carbon fibre chassis that is working well on both asphalt and carpet tracks. It helps to generate a good amount of rear traction and a bit less steering and it also comes in handy to avoid traction rolling on super high-bite tracks. Also available is a 2.25mm carbon fibre chassis for asphalt racing. It helps to gain steering and response on the expense of a slightly nervous and edgy car behaviour. Last but not least is a 2.0mm aluminium chassis for the use on carpet tracks. It makes for a lower centre of gravity and less traction rolling while keeping a good balance between steering response and an easy to drive car.
Serpent have new option parts for the 977 Viper 1/8th on-road car available in the form of a rear chassis stiffener set and an extra hard Centax clutch spring. Starting with the chassis stiffener, the set will reduce the chassis flex around the engine area for smoother brake action and it is easily taken off for maintenance and cleaning purposes. Included is a new aluminium bottom brace as well as a tie-rod set to connect the radio plate assembly with the rear 2-speed shaft bracket. The other new part is the X-hard Centax clutch spring. The precision-made spring features ground contact surfaces for constant performance and it is usable in all Serpent 1/8th scale cars with Centax clutch as well as the cars of many other brands.

Coming from Serpent is the Thrust Slipper set for the SRX4 4WD buggy. The 3-pad slipper assembly with additional thrust bearing makes for a smoother power distribution between the front and the rear drivetrain which can be beneficial especially on slippery tracks. The set includes the thrust race, three slipper pads and new pressure plates and it requires the use of the optional #500447 24T slipper shaft pulley.

Serpent’s successful F110 SF2 1/10th scale formula car kit is now also available in a 200m wide foam tyre version. The main differences between the narrow rubber tyre version and the foam tyre variant are the wider lower front suspension plate, the longer upper trackrods and the longer steeringrods. The parts make for a total car width of 200mm, a specification that is used in many Asian racing series. Aside from the front suspension the remainder of the car is left unchanged from the rubber-spec SF2. Included with the SF2.W comes a genuine Protoform F1-15 bodyshell, Serpent’s moulded rear diffusor and a set of ETS-legal front and rear wings. The inclusion of the body and rear diffusor is also a running change to the standard SF2 kits from now on, Serpent announced.
Serpent have introduced the latest incarnation of the 411 Eryx touring car platform in the form of the Eryx 4.0. Designed in cooperation with Serpent team drivers Marc Fischer and Viktor Wilck the version 4.0 is based on a 2mm hard-coated aluminium chassis and it features completely new shock absorbers with X-ring seals, machined bushings and new housings, upper and lower caps and part of the updated suspension package are also 2mm taller front and rear shock towers to accommodate the newly designed shocks. Other new features include a new slop-free mid-shaft pulley system, a new one-piece, low centre of gravity motor mount as well as a redesigned steering assembly with a wider pivot system for a more direct steering feeling. Also included are adjustable aluminium and carbon battery stops and an improved gear differential for ultra-smooth operation. Beside the aluminium chassis car Serpent will also release a carbon kit that utilises a 2.25mm carbon fibre chassis which is ideal for low to medium bite conditions. Serpent have new option parts for the SRX range of 1/10th off-road buggies available in the form of an aluminium 51T ball differential gear and a 1.7mm rear anti-roll bar. Starting with the diff gear, the part is machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium and it comes hard-anodised to make for a low-wear surface. It improves durability when running low-turn modified motors by replacing the standard composite gear. Also new is the 1.7mm rear anti-roll bar wire. The thickest yet, the anti-roll bar is best used on very high-bite surfaces in order to limit chassis roll in corners.
Serpent have announced the signing of US top driver Scotty Gray to join the on-road team of Serpent America. Scotty will work closely together with Paolo Morganti and the team at Serpent America, focussing on 1/10th electric and nitro classes, as well as GT and 1/8th nitro on-road. Scotty says:
