Shepherd have introduced an aluminium servo saver upper arm for the Velox V8 “WC” and “Simon Kurzbuch Edition” kits. Machined from high-quality aluminium and replacing the standard composite part, the lever improves durability while also giving a more direct steering feedback. The part comes black anodised for wear and it is available now.

Shepherd have added a new soft-shell jacket to their range of merchandising. Made from black, Teflon-coated and knitted soft-shell with welded microfleece lining the jacket will keep wind and moisture away from the body while two inner and two outer pockets allow to store a multitude of things. Furthermore the jacket features inner headphone wire routing and it comes with embroidered Shepherd logos on the chest and collar. The jacket is available in XS to 3XL sizes from now on.
Coming from Shepherd and made for the Velox F1 formula kit are a 2.25mm carbon fibre chassis and lower pod plate. Developed in cooperation with Shepherd factory driver Olivier Bultynck, the parts, machined from German-made high-quality carbon fibre, offer optimised flex characteristics for outdoor racing on asphalt. The chassis and pod plate have already proven their performance as Olivier took the TQ and runner-up spot at the recent Spanish ETS round held in Madrid. Both the main plate and lower pod plate are available now.

Coming from Shepherd and made for the Velox F1 formula car is an adjustable aluminium steering bellcrank. The 2-piece part allows to fine-tune the steering Ackermann geometry by shifting the separate inner ballstud lever forth and back while also increasing overall rigidity and thus steering precision on high-bite surfaces. The bellcrank is available in blue or black anodising.
Shepherd have announced the signing of Germany’s Thilo Tödtmann to their team. The former Capricorn factory driver has inked a long term contract to represent the Shepherd brand. A regular ENS and Euros A-finalist and former EFRA Euro-B champion, Thilo will campaign the Velox V10 “WC” 200mm platform while also running the Velox F1 at selected events. Thilo says:
First of all I want to thank Patrizio Rossi from Capricorn for his support and help during the last 2 1/2 years on and off the racetrack. He is a well known character and I improved my racing and my knowledge during that time. Nevertheless I felt it was time for a change and now I am very excited to rejoin Team Shepherd. Racing and learning in such a strong team with a great history of inventing, development and design is a opportunity which I take gratefully.

After being with ARC the last two seasons, German frontrunner, Lars Hoppe has decided to return to his former sponsor Shepherd for the upcoming season. Lars will campaign Shepherd’s Velox V8 WC at events such as the ENS, the German Nationals and the IFMAR Worlds in France. Lars has the following to say:
At first I want to thank team ARC for great two years with the new R8 and wish them all the best. I am very happy to rejoin Team Shepherd and want to thank Patrick Schäfer for the great opportunity. For the 2017 season I will participate the whole Euro Nitro Series, the German Championship, some local races and for sure the World Championship in France. Shepherd have announced the signing of Belgian frontrunner, Olivier Bultynck to their electric on-road team. The multiple ETS winner and podium finisher will have his debut for Shepherd at the second round of the 2016/17 ETS in Mülheim Kärlich. Furthermore he plans to attend all remaining ETS races, the Euros and he tries to defend his Belgian National Champion title. Shepherd are really looking forward to working together with the former Roche driver who had the following to say:
First of all I have to thank Max Ma from Roche for the support he gave me the last season. But i was given a chance to be part of the Shepherd Team for 2017. Being on a strong Team is very motivating and I’m really looking forward to the challenge. Shepherd have announced the signing of 2-times Spanish National Champion, Eduardo Escandon to their factory team. The Euro-A Vice-Champion and ENS A-main finalist will use the latest version of Shepherd’s Velox V10 in the upcoming season. Edu plans to attend all ENS events as well as the EC-A in Mulhouse/, France and he had the following to say:
First of all I would like to thank KM group for their support over the last few years, but now I feel it’s time for a change. I’m delighted to have the opportunity to work with such a great team like Shepherd and I’m sure that it will be a big step forward for me at International races. I tested the car for the first time at my home Club setting a new track record, that´s amazing!
