JConcepts S2 & F2 TLR 22 5.0 body shells

JConcepts have updated their popular S2 and F2 design body shells to now fit the TLR 22 5.0 buggy. Slammed overall height allows the S2 to whisk through the turns with a low centre of mass while the progressive cab design provides plenty of front-end force for superior balance and steering. A channeled roof directs the flow through the centre of the body while also increasing the rigidity of cockpit. The dual side-window design that has become famous on the JConcepts bodies remains to bring a traditional feel to the layout. The upper side-pods feature distinct vents used to help relieve hot air build-up inside the body for those high-powered runs or hot days at the track. Carved and detailed side-pods edge the body giving the highly aero unit a stylish look with a tight fit and finish. Cut-lines are included on the body to accommodate stand-up and lay-down transmission layouts giving all out versatility.

TLR 8ight-X quick change engine mount & swaybars

Team Losi Racing have announced new option parts for their 8ight-X 1/8th scale nitro and electric buggies. First up is a quick change engine mount set that helps to speed up engine installation and removal. The multi-piece construction consists of a single-piece lower base as separate engine mounts that ensure the engine base stay in place during engine removal, retaining the chosen gear mesh when the engine is removed. Steel pins in the base ensure the engine blocks, that keep being attached to the crank case, slides right back into place when the engine is refitted. The mount comes machined from high-quality aluminium, it comes hard anodised and laser-etched. Beside the full set TLR also offers a set of engine mounts that can be attached to spare engines, ensuring precise gear mesh setting even after swapping power plants. Also new is a 4-piece set of front and rear swaybars. Coming as 2.2mm and 2.4mm front as well as 2.6mm and 2.8mm variants, the so called “even” set allows to make finer adjustments to the swaybar setup.

TLR 8ight X-E 1/8th electric buggy kit

Coming soon from TLR is the 8ight-XE 1/8th electric buggy kit. It makes use of most of the features the nitro-powered 8ight-X buggy has to offer, such as an improved suspension geometry that has been completely revamped, making a car that is fast, nimble, and easy to drive. This includes a myriad of updates including aluminium spindles, 17.5-degree spindle carriers, longer front shocks, wider front pivot with less scrub radius, narrower rear pivot, longer rear shocks, and updated hub offset. The rear shocks can be mounted in front or behind the rear shock tower to adjust weight bias and new front and rear diff cases allow for better diff access. The buggy also features a more traditional “wide” style chassis that increases stability, balance and gives the buggy a more neutral feel. This also allows for the component’s to be spread out instead of cramped together as with a narrow style chassis making maintenance a breeze. The XE also features an over-sized pinion bearing in the front and rear of the buggy for increased strength and durability. This allows for a smoother, more reliable and hassle-free driveline.
