MIP Pro8 conversion kit for the SCTE truck

MIP Pro8 conversion kit for the SCTE truck

Prototypes of MIP’s Pro8 buggy have been around for some time and now the company released a first official image of the kit. The set is designed to convert a Losi SCTE 1.0 or TLR SCTE 2.0 into a super lightweight 1/8th buggy that will make use of the chassis, drivetrain and most of the suspension parts of TLR’s 1/10th 4WD short course truck. The lightweight drivetrain parts and somewhat lighter shocks combined with the possibility to run lighter motors and battery packs makes for an overall lighter buggy, perfect for tight indoor and outdoor tracks. There is no official release date yet but we guess it the kit should hit the stores soon.

JConcepts TLR 22 front axle conversion

JConcepts TLR 22 front axle conversion

JConcepts introduce the front axle conversion for the TLR 22 line of vehicles. A critical point of the conversion revolves around the front axle and surrounding geometry with the goal to convert the front axle to a more user friendly design. The conversion includes two front high-grade steel axles with incorporated wheel hex and threaded shaft allowing the use a traditional 4mm lock-nut instead of the stock screw type design. A low-profile, aluminium 4mm locknut has been included which features an inner serrated surface which grips the wheel when tightened for locking security. This design can easily be installed on the 22 buggy line of vehicles including the newly released TLR 22 2.0.

Losi Ten Rally-X 4WD RTR

Losi Ten Rally-X 4WD RTR

Losi introduce the Ten Rally-X 4WD RTR car based on the popular Ten chassis line. Coming factory-assembled the car features a tough aluminium chassis, aluminium oil-filled shock absorbers, sturdy suspension components and rally tread tyres for both on-road and off-road use. The car is powered by a 4-pole 3900kv Dynamite brushless system with 130A controller and controlled by a Spektrum SRS4200 2.4GHz AVC receiver with AVC standing for Active Vehicle Control, a gyro-based system to improve the handling of the vehicle even on very rough or slippery surfaces.

MIP SCTE Pro4mance front linkage set

MIP SCTE Pro4mance front linkage set

Following the release of the new camber link sets for the TLR’s SCTE 4WD short course truck MIP introduce corresponding steering links. Just like the camber links the steering linkage set makes use of highly durable Dubro rod ends and genuine Lunsford titanium turnbuckles. The parts make for a lowered weight and higher precision resulting in quicker and more precise steering response. Included in the set is suitable hardware in the form of screws, conical washers and aluminium nuts.

MIP SCTE hard springs & lightweight camber rods

MIP SCTE hard springs & lightweight camber rods

MIP introduce new option parts for the TLR SCTE short course truck as well as MIP Pro4mance converted trucks in the form of a 3-pair spring kit and lightweight camber links. Starting with the spring set, it includes three spring pairs of higher spring rates as the standard springs for a wider range of tuning options. The colour-coded springs fit both the SCTE 1.0 and 2.0 and are also available separately. Also new are the Pro4 Lite camber links. The turnbuckle set makes use of durable Dubro rod ends and genuine Lunsford titanium turnbuckles to make for both light and strong camber rods. The parts are a direct replacement the stock camber rods, scrub around an ounce of weight and improve the handling and control of the truck. Included are four front and rear turnbuckles, eight rod ends as well as mounting hardware.

MIP Pucks 17.5 drive system & alloy C-CVD’s

MIP Pucks 17.5 drive system & alloy C-CVD's

MIP introduce new drivetrain option parts for a wide range of 1/10th off-road vehicles. First up is the Pucks 17.5 drive system, a blend of aluminium differential outdrives, aluminium C-CVD drive shafts and orange plastic pucks that take the place of the gnarly steel drive pins. The parts scrub around 50 percent of weight in the drivetrain increasing acceleration and deceleration while lowering motor temperature at the same time. The plastic pucks significantly reduce outdrive wear at the same time as there is no metal-to-metal contact lowering running costs over time too. The set is ideal for 17.5T stock racers and includes pucks, outdrives, a diff gear, bearings and hardware, bones and axles, lube and thread lock and it is available for the RB5/6, Ultima SC-R, TLR 22/T/SC, as well as B4, T4 and SC10 kits.

TLR 22-4 1/10 4wd buggy

TLR 22-4 1/10 4wd buggy

Team Losi Racing have introduced the hugely anticipated 22-4 4WD electric off-road buggy on the eve of the 4WD competition at this year’s 1/10th electric buggy World Championships in Chico, California. The buggy is meant to be the spiritual successor to the all-conquering XX-4 and builds on a 2.5mm 7075 aluminium chassis with a modular multi-belt drive system that, unlike the XX-4, can now be independently maintained or removed, as a whole from the chassis leaving the suspension in-situ. Strategically milled to reduce weight, improve flex and to provide the all-important but often forgotten wire routing for the ESC or Servo to the RX, the 22-4 has been carefully thought out.
