Bill Jeric announces departure from Horizon Hobby

Bill Jeric announces departure from Horizon Hobby

Bill Jeric, a director in Horizon Hobby’s surface product development department and former President of the Losi brand, has announced that today will be his last day working at Horizon Hobby. Informing us a few days ago and making a statement on his Facebook page today, the decision to leave was not his choice and seems to be part of a shake up at the large US company following the departure a few months ago of another high profile colleague Shawn Ireland who was Vice President of Surface Marketing at Horizon after less than a year in the position. Bill posted the following statement on his FB page.

As of today I am no longer an employee of Horizon Hobby. Although not my choice to leave, I have nothing but gratitude and appreciation for the 12+ years I spent there. I have confidence in what the future holds for me and look forward to the next career steps in an industry that I truly love. Stay tuned!!

Exotek TLR22 steering rack conversion set

Exotek TLR22 steering rack conversion set

Exotek have released this new steering rack conversion set for the TLR22, 22SCT and 22T. Featuring an all new CNC machined design with bearings and steel bushings for reliable steering and precise track performance, this design was carried over from Exotek’s popular parts for other buggy models and is surprisingly compact and efficient on the 22. The conversion bolts into the stock locations of the 22 chassis with ease and uses all of the stock hardware. The geometry is spot on with the steering rack working in perfect tandem with the front links and suspension of the 22, while the reverse mounted steering cranks matches the movement of the steering knuckles resulting in aligned angles of the steering turnbuckles when turning left and right. Bump steer can be easily changed by spacing the rack up or down and the steering link angle can be changed by adding spacers to the inboard ball ends. The inboard ball ends laydown position also helps eliminate the dreaded ball cup pop off’s of the 22SCT. For proper clearance of the steering rack new heavy duty servo mounts are included so that the servo is positioned 6mm further back.

JConcepts TLR22 7″ Hi-Clearance rear wing

JConcepts TLR22 7" Hi-Clearance rear wing

JConcepts has released their new 7″ Hi-Clearance rear wing for the TLR22. A slightly wider base gives the wing a larger surface area which allows more stability during low and high speeds which provide some much needed grip in tricky situations. The Hi-Clearance sections near the end plates still allow maximum suspension compression and tire expansion.

TeamSR weighted front bumpers

Team SR weighted front bumpers

Team SR introduce new weighted front bumpers for the Team Associated B4 and the TLR 22 platforms. Starting with the B4 variant, the front bumper is designed to replace the kit’s moulded plate with a 21g heavy and nickel-plated piece in order to adjust the weight balance of B4, T4 and X-6 cars. The special surface not only looks the part but also eliminates corrosion to make the part looking like new for a long time. The TLR 22 bumper is zinc-plates and a direct fit on the 22, 22T and 22SCT. Both plates help to mount needed weight as low and as forward in the vehicle as possible.
