Returning to its roots, Team Losi Racing is once again offering kits to the racing community. These 1/8 8ight 2.0 4WD Race Buggy and 8ight-T 2.0 4WD Race Truggy kits include everything the roller versions have except tires. They do, however, come with two complete sets of wheels. Currently, Team Losi Racing offers six kits in its competition vehicle lineup.

Team Losi Racing have announced that they have signed former Xray driver Ryan Lopez to race their 8ight buggy for 2011. Ryan had this to say:
I am very excited about my new opportunity with TLR. Team losi is well known for having some of the best and fastest cars on the market and I am looking forward to representing there company for a long time to come. I want to say thanks to Ralph Burch and Mr Hudy for all the great support I have gotten the past five years with Xray. Team Losi were in contact to tell us that Mugen driver Taylor Peterson will run their Nitrotane fuel this coming season. “I will be starting the 2011 Race season using Nitrotane Fuel. I would like to thank them for the opportunity to run what I believe the best fuel out there, I will work hard to get great results and look forward to working together at the track. :) On that note I would like to take the time to thank EB Mods for their support this past season with their fuel. Former European Champion and all round great ambassador for our sport Yannick Aigoin has been in contact to tell us that he will be extending his current contract with Team Losi Racing for 3 more years. The French racer had the following to say:

Saddle packs can offer the flexibility to arrange your power source into different configurations but are not always exactly what you need. Thanks to the size of this Xcelorin 7.4V 3800mAh 2S2P LiPo battery pack, chassis placement and tuning options are in your control. As the perfect power source for the Team Losi Racing 22 Buggy in either rear-motor or mid-motor configuration, it will also be right at home in any 1/10-scale electric application. Elite RC has released an electric conversion kit for the Losi Ten-T / 810. The Elite Ten-X conversion kit will allow you to convert your Ten-T to a Short course truck or a true 1/8 buggy. What’s unique about this conversion is that the overall wheelbase has been lengthened by 1″ giving you the proper wheelbase for SCT / buggy racing. Included with the kit is Elite’s slide & lock motor mount with incorporated bearing for motor shaft support, also a new feature is a aluminium battery tray, which will act as a heatsink and makes the chassis more rigid.

Losi have released two new 1/8th scale buggy tires, the Blockhead G2 tire and the BK Bar G2 tire, both in green compound. The intermediate Blockhead tread pattern bridges the gap between the Kingpin G2 and Eclipse tires, excellent on medium loam conditions with excellent wear characteristics in hard packed track conditions. The BK Bar G2 offers superior side bite and impeccable forward traction on hard packed tracks. Its unique tread design has tremendous structural support allowing the tire to live exceptionally longer than other smaller pin tires.
