Team Magic B8 Buggy testing video

We were informed last weekend about this video of the all new Team Magic B8 buggy, which was seen testing at a track in Spain, but when we linked to it the video had disappeared. Well as you can see its now back and shows the Taiwanese company’s latest buggy project being put through its paces. According to Team Magic the B8 is a completely new concept and is not a replacement for the M8, which will continue to be produced. Expect the buggy to be released around early September.

Barry Baker joins Team Magic

Barry Baker joins Team Magic

Top US racer and 2007 ROAR National Champion Barry Baker has announced that he is leaving Team RC America and Xray to race for Taiwanese manufacturer Team Magic. A move away from Xray seemed to be on the cards when he started using Team Orion products in his car recently, moving away from the RC America team deal with Trinity. Barry released the following statement:

I just wanted to announce that myself and Team Magic Model LTD. have joined forces! I will be representing Team Magic not only in the racing part of the company but also in the development of the products they have and will be coming out with. I look forward to help with the development of not only the race vehicles but also the RTR vehicles! I will be using all of Team Magic’s Products….E4RS for Rubber tire racing…E4FS for foam tire racing…G4RS for Gas car racing…..and the M1B for 1/8th off road….With the help of K-Factory and H.A.R.D products I will do my best to put them in the winners circle! Not only will I be working directly with the factory, I also will help promote the car not only worldwide but I also know how hard Wolf Hobbies works in the U.S and I will help them as much as I can! I will debut with the cars at the IIC…Anyone going feel free to come check them out and I will be more then happy to answer any question there……As for questions about the Cars right now I need to have a few weeks to learn about them and I will start a question answer thread on here! I would like to thank Team Magic Model LTD.

New from K-Factory is this E4 aluminium battery mount for 6 cell packs, specially designed to be used in the Team Magic E4FS and E4RS electric touring cars. This new option part claims to make your car much more reliable and stronger, due to the increased hardness of the lightweight aluminium which when mounted acts as a structural part of the chassis. Hard coated for excellent surface protection, the battery mount features a milled battery tape slot that goes along the length of the mount to hold your cells in place.

K-Factory have announced the release of these 2 new special precision spur gears for the Team Magic E4, available in 110T and 116T and designed to improve performance and reliability. Said to increase acceleration due to its special lightweight design, they Feature a high precision CNC machined design and use a newly developed special hardened material. This ensures low friction transmission and lower power dissipation from engine to wheels, this will result in more available power.

K-Factory have released this range of optional ZF belts for the Team Magic E4 EP powered chassis. Available in 3mm for the front and side, the rear is 3.5mm thick and all belts have been made using a unique method of construction for the belt texture & a special material to form the teeth. Therefore, the belt won’t break easily & the teeth are more durable. In addition, to make the belts extra flexible, the belts surface also gone through a special treatment process which ensures a highly efficient transmission.

Team Magic ST Steel Diff Outdrives

Team Magic have released a pair of steel differential outdrives for the front and rear outdrives of the M series buggies. The new outdrive longer cap has been designed to prevent the drive shaft from dropping out, an area which is extremely vulnerable as the forces from the heavy landings and crasnd hes. They have been manufactured from superb ST steel and machined with the utmost precision athey will fit the M1B and M8 series buggies perfectly and due to the exclusive hardening process the longevity is very good.

K-Factory have released this middle mount for the Team Magic E4, which has been precision milled from high tensile strength 7075 aluminium and polished to a chrome finish. Helping to reduce flex in the chassis, this strong yet lightweight part also comes with a built-in antenna rod mount.

Team Magic Bevel Gear set

Team Magic Bevel Gear set

Team Magic have released new, deepened 43T & 13T spiral gears, which are used with the front and rear differentials on the M8 & M1B. Machined on a precision gear machine, every gear is also individually tested and inspected to meet the tightest tolerance requirements. The pitch angle of the gears has moved to 15 degrees to improve power delivery and reduce friction and the new gears also go through a new hardening process to make sure their more reliable than previous versions.
