Xu Xi doubles at FEMCA EP Offroad Championship

Xray driver Xu Xi completed the double at the FEMCA EP Offroad Championship which took place at the GDC track in Foshan, China, over the weekend.  FEMCA, the governing body of radio-controlled car racing in Asia and Australasia and which represents 15 nations, brought back the race this year after a long absence with the aim of building back up the race, which like other FEMCA Championships crowns the official Champion of Asia.  With 4WD attracting the largest entry, in qualifying it was leading Chinese international touring car driver Marco Ma who secured the TQ for Xray ahead Xi after topping 4 of the 5 rounds.  In the triple finals however after a poor start in A1, Xi was able to get the better of his team-mate and win A2 & 3 to lift the overall title.  With Ma second, Liu Hai Feng completed the podium.  In 2WD, Xi had the perfect race securing the TQ and wrapping up the overall win in A2.  Second would go to the Team Associated of Ashton Witte with Zhao Ji Chen rounding out the Top 3.

Xray XT4’25 1:10 Electric Truggy

Xray has unveiled its latest 1:10 4WD Electric Truggy kit, the XT4 ’25.  Originally based on the Slovakian manufacturer’s successful XB4 Buggy platform, key features of the newest XT4 iteration include a redesigned chassis that offers short and long configurations to adjust wheelbase and weight balance to match any track conditions.  The Steering Blocks & C-hubs are also moulded from new medium composite hardness for extra reliability and crash resistance.  New rear uprights feature lowered roll centre positions to improve stability and reduce suspension collapse in high speed corners.  New significantly reinforced front & rear suspension arms are much stronger and more reliable, reducing the chances of failure during a crash.  Other improvements include a redesigned lower front shock tower, big bore 13.2mm shocks that use a new X-ring design for improved seal without excess friction for improved shock operation.  Visually the XT4 ’25 get a new ‘Lush’ rear wing with significantly increased lifespan improves airflow and maintains chassis attitude over large jumps while improving traction in all conditions.

Xray X4 Medium Composite Hub

Xray is offering a new medium composite hub for its X4 1:10 Electric Touring Car platform.   The medium composite is softer than Graphite material and thus generates more mechanical grip on the car and improves side traction.  Recommended for low traction asphalt tracks and very-low grip carpet tracks.  The hubs allow full adjustability of the axle height to adapt the car to every condition.  The aluminium front steering plates and rear ARS plates are easily mounted depending on the hub’s location.  The design of the hub is universal with the same part used at all four corners with corresponding extensions.

Xray X4 CFF Extra Soft Upper Arm

New from Xray for its X4 1:10 Electric Touring Car is an Extra Soft CFF (Carbon Fibre Fusion) Upper Arm.  The extra soft arm with thinner carbon generates more mechanical traction of the car and improves side traction.  While the softer arm is slightly more fragile, it is recommended for very low & low traction asphalt and carpet tracks.  The upper arm shape conforms around the inner shock position for proper clearance without compromising strength and improve steering and both forward traction and lateral traction.  This design improves durability and eliminates radial play for maximum precision and control from the upper arms.

Xray X4F‘25 FWD Touring Car

Xray has presented its latest FWD Electric Touring the with the 2025 iteration of the X4F.  Key features of the X4F‘25 start with an all-new chassis redesigned to work with the new bulkheads & lower arms and which moves motor mount location 5mm forward for improved traction.  It also integrates with the new one-piece aluminium servo/steering mount and battery holder systems.  Narrowed 5mm in the front and 10mm in the rear for improved flex characteristics that improve steering and rotation while also reducing chassis drag for improved cornering speed.  The car also gets an all-new one-piece servo mount moves the servo 5mm forward for more traction.  A Single steering arm mount reduces weight and works together with the new battery holder system to move the battery position further forward for maximum traction.  The one-piece design eliminates servo movement in hard crashes and the ultra-low profile design reduces weight and lowers the CG as much as possible.  A brand new steering arm redesigned for weight savings with new geometry creates clearance to move the motor mount and servo mount 5mm forward for improved traction & improved in-corner steering.  The X4F’25 is 25g lighter than X4F’24 with strategic lightening of the rear suspension to move the weight bias further forward.
