Xray have confirmed that front running French driver Jérôme Ezazian, one of the top 10 drivers of the French Championship since 2002, is joining their team for the 2009 racing season. A former winner of the GP Montpellier & GP Pierrefeu, Jérôme will use RB engines to power his XB808 next season.

Xray have announced the release of the all-new T2R Pro touring car, which represents the latest evolution of the super-successful Raycer concept – luxury at an affordable price. This new kit is based on the award-winning T2 electric touring car platform, a car that has ‘raised the bar in engineering, design, and performance and has won the hearts of racers worldwide along with an exceptional amount of titles and awards’. Young Italian buggy racer Riccardo Perin, has confirmed that he is rejoining the Xray team for 2009. Perin, who previously drove for Xray in 2007, raced for Mugen Seiki this year making the European Championship main event in Crete, eventually placing 12th after some problems in the final. Riccardo also confirmed that he will be continuing with Novarossi to power his XB808.

Xray have released these aluminium anti-roll bar collars, that remove play from the front anti-roll bar wire, increasing cornering speed and stability. Suitable for all T2 cars the set consists of 2 collars and setscrews.

Xray have released new steering blocks for their NT1 200mm chassis. Molded composite left & right steering blocks feature built-in 1° kingpin angle and are marked ‘L’ or ‘R’ for easy identification.

Xray have released this unique Active Differential, a high-performance, adjustable front gear differential for XT8 truggies, which vastly improves the truggy’s speed and handling characteristics. The special design of the internal components, using different angled segments, allows the diff gears to engage on-power to increase the forward traction and stability to the truggy, making it faster and easier to drive.

Xray have developed a new range of precision molded offset spurs in both 48 and 64 pitch. These spur gears have been strategically lightened to reduce rotating mass and are made from specially created hard composite material. Available in 78T and 81T in 48 pitch and 104T, 106T, 108T & 110T in 64 pitch.

As mentioned previously on our news page as well as in our 1:12th scale introduction piece, Xray are the latest manufacturer to enter the market, with the XII. We were able to get up close and personal with the LRP X12 powered example belonging to Factory Xray driver Alexander Hagberg from Sweden. Already in it’s second version, following feedback from the team after a recent test at the RCS track, the car is in appearance at least very similar to other brands on the market. Chief designer Juraj Hudy, who has limited experience of the class, says that while the car may be similar in appearance to others out there, that is more a reflection of the state of development of the class which has seen chassis design developed to a point where extra performance can only be found in small refinements. Featuring a T-bar, which some believe would be more suited to a lower traction surface, as opposed to the trailing link design seen on the CRC and Associated cars, the cars debut later today will be closely watched by all racers and manufacturers present.
